After seeing Jennings in the spring, thats exactly who he reminds me of. Both have very similar size, arm strength, and mobility. So if Jennings does end up starting for the next 3 years, I think we'll be ok at that position. I know Harris will have something to say about that.

we don't know that. Herb wasn't a slouch passing when he had WRs to throw to.

Better football IQ than HT. More polished passer as well at same stage of career.

Herb was way more of a runner and way less of a pure passer. Shitty comparison IMO.

Jennings is 6'2"
Herb was 5'11"

Jennings has short fingernails
Herb had long fingernails

Jennings runs a 4.8 40
Herb ran a 4.5 40

Jennings has taken about 20 snaps
Herb started for more than 3 years

They are both African Americans, that is about the only thing they have in common.

Would you mind explaining how you know know Jennings is such a pure passer being he's thrown 1 pass in his college career. Pls dont link any high school tape.

You said pls no high school tape, so I guess I won't mention how prolific of a PASSER he was in high school.

Did you watch the spring game? Ever read quotes from coaches? Scouting reports? Did you watch Herb Tyler when he was here?

ETA: WAIT! Jennings is black?!?!? Nevermind, great comparison. We all know black guys can't be pocket passers.

the best was listening to Herb, Larry Foster, and Rondell Mealey carry on a conversation. It was like listening to another language.

Jennings actually runs a 4.6 out of high school and Tyler's only good season was his last one. I wasn't watching football period as early as the 90's but those are some pretty awful stats.

Must be nice to be able compare a guy that has never started a college football game in his life to Herb Tyler.
