Shhh don't confuse them with facts. Baylor has a gimmick offense that would NEVER work in the mighty SEC where defenses like Kentucky, A&M, and SC prowl. Every SEC defense is like Bama's.

Except when it didn't against Arkansas. Or you can ask Auburn how successful their spread formation offense was when their QBs were unable to make decent throws.

The spread formation requires the QB hit quick throws to take advantage of one versus one mismatches in order to force defenders to cover the entire field. If your QB doesn't make the throws the defense can ignore areas of the field, and the spread formation does not create any space, or favorable blocking match ups, for the running game.

We've had seasons of Anthony Jennings and Brandon Harris each demonstrating an inability to make throws consistently from the spread formation. Who do you think LSU has that will do better in 2016?

I'd like to see the Qb hit throws that are called and open.

The inaccuracy is astounding at times. Is it footwork? Is BH fidgety Bc he's used to being rushed even when there's no pass rush? I don't even know how much of this is coaching. I bet he lights it up in practice.

So something like Air Raid offense? We Need a QB that can make more than 1 read to run that type of offense. Currently we do not have that.

Glad to see someone did their homework. Could you see Fournette and Guice shredding defenses that are spread out to cover 3 and 4 wide receiver sets from sideline to sideline.

And herein is the problem. 2016 looks to be no better than 2015. I'm shooting for 2018 myself. That'll be our year.

Need a mixture of both. What else are we going to do with 10 fullbacks on the roster?

Ole Miss and Arkansas dont aside from Nkemdiche.
Ole Miss has the best lineman in the country. We don't have anyone in the top 20. Arkansas pushed both of our lines around.

We already have a team and iffense that can beat SC, Aggie and Ky. Just like Baylor

Baylor goes 1-2 or 0-3 against our three losses.

shite we had 500 yds offense against Ole Miss.

Look at Arkansas. Allen was a hot mess two years ago and is now a good QB. Coker couldn't beat out Sims. Look at what UF did with the juicer.

Pro style offenses are solid, you just need timely QB play. And history has almost universally shown that QBs get better with time.

I can't tell you how much I would give to see Fournette get to run the inside zone with 4 WRs spread out across the field.

Florida won two championships basically running out of a spread

Then you don't understand what "the spread" is. Florida ran the ball out of Gun but used HBs and TEs. They were just a power running team out of gun.

How many more years of a lame offense do you need to see to FINALLY buy it?

How do you conveniently ignore the fact that Flynn, Mettenberger and Russell were highly productive in Miles system?

If Brandon hits his throws Saturday
It's a two-way street - he hits the throws and the receivers need to catch them. This has happened all season long. Imagine his stats (and theirs) if they didn't have the dropsies? Can't put it all on BH. There are receivers around the country who will catch anything thrown remotely in their direction.

Power I. We had to go back to it, as many on here were saying, because that is what you destroy Chavis coached defenses with.
I agree. Not just Chavis defenses but most of them. That single back crap just doesn't work against most other SEC teams.

IMO - we under-utilize our TEs waaaay too much. Always looking for the deep ball kills the offense when you can toss it 5-10 yds to the TE and let him rumble for another 5-10+ more. I know it's not sexy but it moves the chains and will draw the D in a little more. I'm not saying abandon the deep ball - it sells - but it can't always be the option.
