I am no homer and pride myself on calling it like it is. I do realize that Texas Tech was completely out-manned but some of these young guys have the potential to be the schools best ever or close to it.
1. Malachi Dupree- This guy is special. Has as much NFL ability as any WR in the country.
2. Jamal Adams is as good a college safety as I can recall at any school in recent years. Theres some Honey Badger swag to him that is contagious as well. Positive Chirping all night. He loves to play football. Eric Berry or Earl Thomas have nothing on this guy. Hootie who?
3. Kevin Toliver can cover anyone. Hes been burned twice deep this year and both times, he had given up on the play and was "deeked" by the WR. Other than that, QB's dont even look his way until after the play breaks down. Surprised he hasnt gotten more love. Hes been good from game 1 and is a true freshman playing on island much of the game.
4. Godchaux is a total freak. Looks like JJ Watt. So quick, so strong and has unbelievable balance and agility for a man his size.
4. Guice, is there another freshman back in the country with that type of agility and power? He's not a powerful back for his size, hes flat out powerful. Maybe doesnt belong on this list as a possible GOAT, but he deserves mention. He could write his own story at LSU.
5. But the best of them all is Arden Key. I cant even describe how talented this man is.
A pleasant surprise for me last night was Tashawn Bower.
Unfortunately, I didnt see the improvement, I was hoping for in Brandon Harris. Im not giving up on him, he's still young and he has all the tools to be a very good QB. Texas Tech was a good opportunity for him to showcase his talents. There were things here and there to get excited about moving forward, but overall he was a bit of a disappointment.
What ever happened to Ed Paris? Thought he would see the field more last night against TT, especially later in the game?
Alot of guys played well last night, but these 5 youngsters are something else.

I was very happy Les let Quinn redeem himself. The kid played most the game. Every play he found a way to get open. Hopefully we use him more next year. I was happy he had that big catch.

Quinn played more because Dural is hurt. Next year will most likely be more of the same Dural, Tyron Johnson and of course Dupree. Quinn and Chark off the bench and you still have guys like Jazz Ferguson that will be waiting.
