I took these yesterday (6/30). It looks like the SW edge of the new addition will get the same treatment as the arches, which I assume is stucco. I didn't get on the east side.

BTW man, would you be kind enough to post these pics in the expansion thread on the SECR?

How are the expansion projects coming?

I've done it a couple of times, but I think it's time they met the man, the myth, and the legend themselves.

I will gladly do so, but I'm just a man with a smart phone. Oh, and a laptop, and a car, a house, a boat, a ..., well you get the idea.

I may have just posted the one pic of yours over there, don't recall. But whenever I post some's pics from the Rant I make sure to give them credit.

My way of encouraging them to continue.

Voted number 2 stadium behind The Rose Bowl. Let's keep it full and loud this season!

There's just nothing like Tiger Stadium. A ton of SEC stadiums are currently undergoing renovations and they're all doing steel erector sets with brick facades. LSU made a beast of a stadium even more intimidating by adding a massive concrete structure that towers over everything. You don't get the true massive feel of it until you see it in person.

It looks great but man those comcession stands are such an eye sore. Gotta be up there with one of the biggest architect fails of all time.

Well not as bad as the 47 story Spanish skyscraper that forgot to install an elevator.

Update: It looks as though the building may have elevators after all! According to Barcepundit—and despite an El Pais article that plainly states the opposite—there are, in fact, 11 elevators in total. [h/t Twitter]

Are the circles above the arches going to stay? I don't remember those in the renderings. TIA

They will be normal windows for now, but within 5 years I bet they cut the new tiger face logo into steel plates, install them over the circles and backlight them with purple and yellow lights.
