Going to miss him. I'm fortunate I was able to meet him and visit with him a couple times. He was as welcoming as you could ask. I was so nervous and he talked to me like he had known me for years.

He's a great person.

I wish him happiness. He's been under a ton of stress here.

I thank him for everything he's done at LSU.

I won't look at white LSU hats the same way.

For you, Miles.

I have always been a Coach Miles fan. I have been around long enough to have lived through some really tough years, when LSU was just not any good. Back then the games weren't a big deal, more of a social event than anything else.

I will miss seeing Coach and his quirky halftime interviews and all of the other stuff. But, the last few years and especially this year, I have noticed a change. The energy and the fire is just not there anymore and you can tell it is coming to an end...though not the way any of us really wanted it to end. The next coach will have big shoes to fill and will be given a very short window for success. Beat Bama and win a NC seem to be the only things that matter and Coach was just not making that happen. His refusal to change with the times was really hard to understand for me. I didn't want to admit it or believe it, but deep down I knew.

I have always had a difficult time being critical of the coaches and I will never be critical of our players, ever. I was born a Tiger fan, my family has very deep ties to LSU and the program. For me it is LSU forever. No matter what. I hope Coach Miles knows that some of us will miss him and appreciate all that he has done. He is a great man and will always have my respect.

Coach, I can only imagine how many lives you have touched throughout your years here at LSU. You taught me there was more to life than LSU Football. Being pissed for a week and all of the offseason, mean little compared to family, friends and the ones you love.

You see it differently than most coaches. It just may be more about developing these boys into decent young men then the W-L record. And it's because you know in the grand scheme of life it's more important to stop and smell the grass and maybe even taste it too; you allowed these kids to have fun doing what they love. No wonder they would lay down their life for you on that field every Saturday Night.

A sign of a good leader. A damn good coach.

I know we're moving on; but out of respect I will be in that South endzone Saturday night, me and my boy with our white hats on.

PS I love the way my son claps, just like you do, when Fournette scores a TD.

Thanks Bird.

Most of us can agree it's time to move on.

But it makes us look retarded to throw stones at him on the way out.

A time to celebrate a change and Miles's tenure.

I'm thankful this season.

I'll miss Les and everything he has done for the quality young men he has brought to LSU. The program just won't be the same without him and I wish him the best after he leaves. Hopefully, eventually, LSU fans will give the man the respect he deserves and he will be remembered fondly. Most of all I just hope he is happy.

Had a good run, lost the team games out of his own stubbornness and stupidity, refused to change, shoved JJ down our throats despite being statistically one of the worst qbs in college football, 1/9/12, couldn't win with all the nfl talent in the world on offense, shoved AJ down our throats despite being (and I'm still amazed I was ever able to type this) worse statistically than JJ, cost lf7 the heisman by running him when everyone knew he was running him

So glad this is finally happening, miles can no longer hold this program hostage

BHP... I am with you my man...

While it makes me sad to see him put down, I will still be a fan. I hope whomever replaces the Hat has as much character and compassion for the game, the players, and Louisiana State University.

Some of you are so full of hate and so fricking stupid that it is surprising you can walk and chew gum at the same time.

You and people like you represent the worst in this fanbase. It's time for Miles to go but it would be a dream come true if he could take assholes like you out the door with him.
