"And the sun takes its place in the western sky. It's now Saturday night in Death Valley..." Not sure of the exact words, but the Florida game at night, assuming UF beats Missouri and we take care of business in SC will give me goosebumps. This game will be epic. Can't believe ESPN isn't going to move it to ABC and have lead announcers on it. I think the town will be jumping...

ABC cannot televise an SEC matchup.

I can't remember the last time LSU played on ABC. Anyone recall?

That is correct. That is the last time.

I wonder how that works in our TV contract. I seldom see SEC games on ABC.

Edit: I see someone above said SEC conference games cannot be televised on ABC. I wonder why that is?

the bama at lsu game in 1998, LSU was ahead during the day, but after nightfall, Bama came back and beat LSU.

So to recap, LSU was ahead before the sunset, then after the sunset Bama went ahead and won the game.

I thought it was before the game, or before the 4th quarter.

You won't see this.
ESPN can have Fowler and Herby call the game though, like they did last year for Ole Miss.

This. ABC won't televise an SEC night game. However, Herbie and Fowler don't HAVE to be on ABC. They could easily call the game on ESPN and I'm guessing Nessler would just call an ABC game. Either the Saturday night game, or maybe they call a 230 game on ESPN and Patrick calls the ABC night game.

West Virginia game in 2011 was the last time they were on ABC I believe. For LSU to be on there it takes a big time non conference opponent.
