Add 3 free OOC wins. 5-5 SEC schedule is 8-5 at worst. Despite the 5-5 record, solid season. Not ideal, but definitely not bad

Given the yards given up by the defense, it was worse than a typical 8-5.

You think we would have beaten Texas with this team?

O is also the guy who lost to Troy so I wouldn’t take anything for granted

Well in an 8 game sec schedule it’d be 4-4, so 8-4 with a bowl game.

That’s a good season at A&M

We were just as close to 3-7

We also didn't have to play on the road in front of any meaningful crowds

Alabama still torches LSU in Tiger Stadium in front of a packed house. And Mississippi State.. well.. probably them too.

Yes it is. It’s not 8-5 at worst. That’s a funny statement.

Even with this team of freshmen and backups the only team that LSU could not beat is Alabama.

Last year we struggled at Texas, home versus Auburn, and trailed Florida. What’s your point?Winning close games is bad? Your post is dumb (yet again).

All I’m saying is that if you say we were close to a respectable season, the flip side is that we were just as close to a much worse season.

A couple breaks and sure we could have beaten Missouri and aTm, but a couple breaks the other way and we lose the last 2 games.

Sorry you are too stupid to see your argument cuts both ways.

Perhaps I misunderstood, I presumed the OP meant 2-0 versus weak OOC opposition and a bowl win. I didn’t realize he meant changing results to get to 8-5. My applied. Carry on.

I was not responding to the OP, but the reply on the first page that said we were so close to a respectable season.

Which may be true, but....

Well, you are correct “at worst.”

I would say it’s probably equal to 8-4 or 7-5 regular season but there are too many variables to say.

We don’t have the opt outs, like Chase.

We don’t play Mississippi State first game. Brennan has a few non conference games to get some game experience.

We probably lose to Texas, but beat MSU. Lose to Alabama, Auburn, A&M, for 8-4, 5-3 in SEC.
