I am in town with my 4 year old grandson. Yesterday he begged to see Mike but we were in terrible afternoon sit still traffic on I-10 east for hours. By the time we got to BR, it was dark and we were exhausted and hungry.
I got the schedule of events for today's game. If we wanted to get to his cage to see him, watch the "Victory Hill" activities, what time should we head that way and where should we try to park?
We don't have tickets but if he could just see the team and the band march down that is probably enough. I hesitate to bring him to the game until he is a bit older.
Is it worth it? Advice???

There will be PLENTY of tickets being sold on campus for next to nothing. This would be a good first game for a four year old so if he gets antsy and wants to leave early, you won't be missing anything important.

...I mean, if he asks to leave, hit him and yell at him for not being a real fan.

you can park on campus for $40 around the tower in those lots pretty much anytime. Go to the tree at top of victory hill next to Cox building and put him right against the fence about 3:45. At 3:55 the team will come down followed by Mike VI and the band 15-20 minutes later. If you stand by gates 8-9 on north end with 2 fingers up you'll get tickets for very little if not free.

Drum warmup by the Greek amphitheater is cool. They do that before they march down to the stadium. I actually don't know the time they do it, but i think your kid would like it.

I bring my 4 yr old daughter to games like this and agree with the earlier posts. Watch the band go down the hill. Try to see Mike. She loves all that stuff. Also just walking around. She usually lasts about 1 quarter to maybe a half before melting down so I only take her to games like furman, etc. She prefers the pregame stuff on the field to the game itself. She talks about it all the time, though, so I know she really loves it. This will be a great memory for your grandson. If you can, borrow a friends TAF card (or your own if you are a member) so you can go into PMAC and watch cheerleaders and the band before the game. They go straight here after walking down the hill. Kids love that. They also have clean bathrooms there.

Have a blast. Geaux!
