SP Thomas Eshelman, Jr., Cal State Fullerton

One of the rarest feats in college baseball is working a walk against Eshelman. The strikeout-to-walk ratio is almost too gaudy to believe—131 strikeouts to seven free passes. Yes, just six. With Eshelman pounding the strike zone every Friday, there was no one steadier on the Cal State Fullerton staff and perhaps no one steadier in the country.

And I see where TCU only managed to get 1 outfielder on the 3rd team.

Eshelman is so good, one umpire rescinded a Ball 4 call while the author was typing.

TCU has stolen almost as many bases as LSU this year. They trotted out power arm after power arm against A&M - almost every guy I saw during the weekend was hitting low 90s. Couple hit 95. Hitting wise they are not as strong throughout the lineup as LSU but they are legit. That roster would make serious noise in the SEC. This game is a toss up. Likely need the best outing of the year from Lange.

I was about to wonder aloud what someone's numbers had to look like to be better than Kade.

I'm going to go see how many games started they each had.

Looks like Kade started about 11 more games than Stubss did. Subtract 2 for the SR and it is 9.
