The average national ranking by position of the LSU starting offense 11 (per 247).
The 27th ranked recruiting class last year was Arkansas.
Our receivers were 61 and 74 respectively.
Guice helps at #5.
We are what we are.

Does that include the head coach because that number seems high.

Khalil Mack was a 2 star recruit. This means nothing.

I guess you'll sick with these classes and not trade for Bama, Clemson, Ohio state, etc?

What do these two things have to do with one another?

We are playing like a #27 team. Maybe even as bad as Arkansas.

This is interesting because I just had this conversation with a former DB from Clemson today. This guy is a member of their Athletic HOF and at 50 could still run over you. He made the comment that the ranking system is flawed for one major reason. In high school you may be the biggest, fastest, strongest kid on the field. When you get to college, you still may be one of the better athletes but all of a sudden you are forced to learn a system, to study the game beyond the field of play.

He went on to add that over the years he's seen scores of highly recruited and ranked kids arrive on campus without the ability to learn the system. Coaches nor evaluators have the ability to determine if a kid can learn the game well enough to play at the collegiate level.

That said, I have more faith in Saban or Myer's ability to judge athletes than O.

Hannegrif hit the nail on the head on the post game show. He said something to the effect of "I did not sign on this year (as a fan) to see Russell Gage as the feature player" He went on to state he was not upset or ill feeling toward Gage as a player but instead pointing out that with the weapons we are supposed to have why are we featuring Gage in crunch time...

Given those parameters, I would be willing to bet 27 ranks us pretty high. If you're saying our players average ranking at their positions works out to that, I don't think 27 is bad like you think it is. Do Alabama's and let me know.

That's one hell of a nonsensical mathematical assumption, congratulations.

Just let him go. He doesn't realize team classes aren't ranked on average player ratings.

When you trot out #61 and #74 ranked wr's, you get what we had Saturday night. Players such as RG were last minute offers to fill #'s because we lost out on other targets. You're left with guys who "drop the ball" and "can't get separation".

yeah, theyre fluffed an inflated by signing glittery skill players like leonard fournette and not recruiting a supporting staff around him, thereby having the nation's best player on the roster and seeing him never get invited to new York because has has to do fricking everything. this year we touted guice as a Heisman candidate. LOL. with no qb, a center playing left tackle, and 3 star receivers that need that should've been relegated to Louisiana directional schools.

27 - the number of posters, out of 27, that one week ago thought Aranda and Canada walk on water.
