Teams were heavily pitching around him.
Now I think he is taking monster cuts chasing pitches. He's still getting some hits, but he seems to be striking out quite a bit.

If he can just stay back and not be out in front he has a shot. Everyone knows that he will kill a fastball from anyone on the mound so that calls for a steady dose of change ups and breaking balls.
