Arden Key probably close

Arden key is not close to that weight, nor to that speed. Folks keep comparing Key to Mingo, who had elite speed, but Key is not in Mingo's class when it comes to speed.

Key has an elite first two steps, but his top end speed is very average. I watched running backs get the corner on Key last year very easily when Mingo would have had them. But Key pressures the QB better than any edge rusher LSU has had since Michael Brooks.

This is probably not true. As they say, Follow the money. And the money for The Opening is in eye-popping times that get everyone talking about The Opening. The odds are that they fake it by calibrating it to be fast. Probably everyone at that event is 2/10 of a second slower than reported.

Here's a good test for anyone interested enough - compare this year's Combine tests with The Opening results from four years ago (if it was a thing then).

As usual, Rickdaddy has the best perspective. The kids at The Opening this year, after 3 or 4 years in serious college S&C programs, will have slower Combine times. Hmmmm?

While Odell Beckham Jr didn't run the 100m in High School, he did run the 200m
Beckham 200m (PR) 22.31
White 200m (PR) 22.37

I don't know about Beckham but White didn't compete as a Sr as he enrolled early, so his time at the State Championships was as a Jr.

Well White does have track times that are identical to OBJr. So while he probably wont run a a 4.4 at the combine he is legit fast. I was skeptical of his opening times as well but his track times are legit. If he didnt have those track times to back it up then yeah.

This wasn't really debated. The fact is White has a 4.49 on record that was laser timed. No one can really refute that. Not to mention the kid has track times out there that pretty much back up that he's a damn freak of nature.

So does everybody. 3 years ago you had 3 oregon players that had 4.3 times at the Opening and they barely broke 4.4 times at the combine. Once i saw his track times i admitted to being wrong. More times than not the opening times dont hold up under nfl combine clocks. Nothing i said warranted personal attacks.

Isn't IQ invalid for assessing adults? A degree from Duke is nice but it absolutely does not prove lack of stupidity.

Im not stupid for thinking a 260 lb person doesnt run a 4.4.
I really dont care if you think im stupid or not. Youre free to think what you want to think.

You came out of the gate being a smug prick so the name calling was inevitable. You didn't help your case from page 2-3 either. The IQ and Duke line pretty much sealed the deal.

You look like an idiot You are so hung up on this 260 lb thing.

If we said LF ran a 4.49 you would believe it. If we told you Trey Quinn ran a 4.49 you would believe it. Well, White was as fast as those guys in officially timed sanctioned track events, but because of some 260lb bullshite you simply keep punching yourself in the nuts over it

ETA: I see you admitted you were wrong and stopped punching yourself in the nuts

Smug? I said we didnt have 260 lb guy that runs a 4.4. Only a beta would see that as smug.
I was using over 3 decades of the nfl combine as a source. Yeah i was such an a-hole for that.
This thread needs to die little nathan. Worry about yourself.

I admitted i was wrong dumbass. Yes im hung up on 260 lbs because it would be the 3rd time ever, at a combine, that a 260 lb guy would run a sub 4.5. You act like thats some weird opinion.

Using past results to indicate future performance? You should have said "it is unlikely we have" based on the rarity but to state "we do not have" is just foolish.

Shouldn't you be working on some new physics breakthrough or something? Why are you still here, Paul?
