247 sports re-ranked the 2015 class top 32. Futures bright gentlemen.
quote:

4. Kevin Toliver II, CB, LSU – Has been a day-one starter for LSU and has been outstanding locking down his side of the field. He's recorded 18 tackles, one interception, 1 tackle for loss and a couple of pass breakups as LSU has jumped out to an undefeated start.

quote:

13. Arden Key, DE, LSU – With 18 tackles, two tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks and five quarterback hurries, Key has been maybe the top freshman pass rusher and he's only going to get better as he adds weight.

quote:

19. Derrius Guice, RB, LSU – Playing behind Heisman front-runner Leonard Fournette, Guice has still managed to create some buzz by averaging 8.6 yards per carry on 31 rushes for 268 yards, The one game he got a significant workload, Guice rushed for more than 160 yards.

quote:

23. Donte Jackson, CB/ATH, LSU – One of the fastest freshmen in the nation, Jackson leads LSU in kickoff return yards and has 12 tackles on defense. As he continues to add weight and settle into a fulltime roll in LSU's secondary we continue to love his upside.

quote:

27. Maea Teuhema, OG, LSU – A starter at offensive guard for one of the best rushing offenses in the nation, Teuhema grabbed the left guard spot in week two and never looked back. He's a huge-bodied athlete that has already caught on to the mental side.

I agree. You don't just start on the best offensive line in the country on the way to blocking for a Heisman Trophy winner as a true freshman. Of all the places to start as a true freshman, OG has got to be up there as one of the hardest.

Tillery made a huge climb to 29 from 150+

Looks like he is playing DT and not offensive line.

This year and at least the next 2-3 years the SEC is so f*cked. Like a ball boy at Penn State in the late 80's.

Toliver got the no buzz treatment because he never waivored. Doesn't matter, knew LSU was getting one of the top players, again.

I think he should be number 1 in this LSU freshman class. I realize that this is subjective, but people don't know how difficult it is from blocking maybe 2 players on your level, in High School, to blocking studs every game in College...most of them being older, bulked up and more adapted to the college game than you, as a true freshman. I think Teuhema is one of those rare recruits, like Fournette, that only come around every decade, or so.

this.

Teuhema has been better at his job, than Toliver has been at his.

Agreed, picking up run blocking schemes and pass protection assignments as a FR is a HUGE task. He has not only done that, but excelled at it. I would have him somewhere in the top 15.

Exactly. I agree and you guys make excellent points. It is hard to adjust as an OG from high school to college. It's a tough adjustment. Not only is Teuhema a starting OG on the best offensive line in the country in his 2nd career game, but he has dominated there. He has pushed and thrown defenders to the ground leading the way for the best RB in the country. Teuhema is a big guard, but he moves so fast for his size. That's a rare combination, and I honestly think he is the best we have seen at his position in a long time. Obviously since he's a guard, he won't be rated high no matter what, but based on talent alone, especially on this list, he should be no worse than a top 5 player. He is very special though.
