We played against more top 100 teams than Georgetown. please explain the difference between a team ranked 150 vs 250?

we would have gotten more love in the rankings had we not dropped games to mizzou, auburn, state and UT. We probably would still be ranked even if we only dropped half of those. We also had the bad losses at bad times, every time we crept near the top 25 we shite on ourselves.

Ask the people who created the RPI rankings. Whether you agree/disagree, like it or not, the numbers show that LSU played a much worse schedule than Georgetown

If LSU would have beaten Auburn, Miss. St., Missouri, and Tennessee and split one of the games with Texas A&M - all things that were very possible - they would be 27-4 and likely a top 10 team.

This LSU team has that kind of ability. A lack of focus kept it from happening. If LSU can get in the tournament and get focused, the team is a top 4 seed ready to do some serious damage. Hopefully the committee will see that and recognize that when focused, this team went 12-4 vs. top 100 RPI and took Kentucky to the brink and almost beat them. THAT is how good LSU can be, but they didn't have the focus to do it every night against lesser competition.

We'll see what the committee values.

If we were 25-6 like we should be... We'd be ranked top 20

Kansas is top 10 with similar record.

Win the Clemson game (they are a half a game over .500), Auburn, Ms State and Tennessee and LSU is 27-4. Split with ATM and they're 28-3. Make a couple free throws down the stretch against UK....

Jones looks like an apple that may not have fallen far from Dale Brown's tree, recruiting like a mother, but losing games they have no business losing. We'll know for sure if they make a quick exit from the SEC and NCAA tournaments. Dale was always good for a first or second round exit.

You missed beating Arky @ their place without our best player. But I don't think that works with your argument

If we make a run, we'll get plenty of love.

Well except for the sweet 16, elite 8, and 2 final fours

Don't lose to Auburn, Mississippi state, and Tennessee and you get plenty of love.
And a weak aTm, twice.

Dale made 5 runs in 28 years coaching. Roughly one every 5 years. Today's head coaches would be fired well before that.

Johnny is in year 3 and we are already poised for back to back runs this year & next. Or we could be like Dale and his 9 early exits in the tourney.

Georgetown is 19 in RPI; LSU is 48. It isn't media bias. The "vs the top 100" star only accounts for about half their schedules, too.

LSU 22-9 and 12-4 vs RPI top 100.

I wish the SEC had more respect in the rankings. Just from a fan perspective. We've been a top 25 team most of the year but have gotten zero love. i hate being butthurt about it but the top 25 is all the media focuses on. Espn highlights are for top 25 teams only.

I guess I'm just disappointed we have a team with legit sweet 16 & beyond talent but we haven't had any national coverage all season

The issue isn't who we have beaten. Its who we have lost to.
