Maybe I'm being too optimistic, but this year's squad reminds me of the National Championship team from 2003. Decent QB who isn't controlling the game but is smart and rarely makes mistakes. Depth in the backfield. Solid receiving core (MICHAEL CLAYTON). STOUT defense. Average preseason expectations (for LSU).

In 2003 LSU was preseason #14 because of QB questions between Matt Mauck and Marcus Randall. I feel like most people are more confident with Burrow than we were with Mauck back then. I'm assuming when the AP comes out we'll be somewhere between 4 - 10.

Luckily this year there won't be any question who is on top at the end (f*** USC). Geaux Burrow, Geaux Aranda, Geaux Tigah.

I think The time for Game Manager QBs is almost gone.

When Alabama bailed on it I think it pretty much shows you need someone there making plays.

I still like Burrow though. I think Best case scenario he will break some LSU records.

Have to disagree. The O line talent isn’t close and d line is a considerable step down

This team might be the most talented LSU team of all time

Heisman caliber QB
Best freshman in the country
Best defense in the country
New offense

Don’t see anyone stopping us

I don’t think this years defense can top that 2003 defense. We had better players up front in 2003

Me, too.
But by next year, Emery and Davis could be up there.
