So we beat the two CWS contenders and lose to the Big 12 bottom feeder? Weird.

My prediction. Undefeated. GOAT college baseball season.

PM is going to throw Hess an inning on the weekend in relief.
Gilbert will start against UNO and Hess will start against Hofstra.

No way Slaughter hits that high for average

I will be shocked if LSU sweeps Maryland, they have two really good starting pitchers and one of the top SS in the country.
San Diego is legit too, will be interesting to see if they save their ace for LSU for a midweek game.
TCU is freaking loaded. That will be an awesome game on Fri in Houston.

That's not really a thing any more. It rarely ever happens without some other reason.
San Diego has an All American catcher though.
Maryland has a couple guys from LSUE on their team.
Wichita St has a kid from Lake Charles that starts for them.
I think this is the toughest schedule that we've played in Mainieri's tenure.

Yeah this seems a tad optimistic, slaughters average, going undefeated in february, the amount of homers projected

TCU is going to be a battle and I can easily see it coming down to our bullpens fighting in Extra Innings. I only chose Baylor to beat us based on the fact that they catch us at the right place, right time. Our bats go cold and we simply play an ugly game.

I always go on the optimistic side. I had the same reaction last season but ended up pretty spot on.
I don't just throw this stuff around. I try to give the most accurate projections I can come up with using anything I can find related to LSU baseball and Freshmen under CPM.
I pulled data on the last few big time Freshmen at LSU and their first season as a starter and found a correalation that I used to guide me through my picks for Slaughter, Smith, and Templet. (I used Gibbs, Mahtook, Bregman, Duplantis, Jones, Fraley, and Dean)
