they ought to throw out that NC ranking (LSU at #16) - it is the only one that was done before the bowl games were played to finish the season.

It is.

I would have LSU #11. Still have question marks at QB and on defense. I'm believing that Chavis will be an improvement but I cannot tell how much. So just outside the top 10 seems right to me.
The top three are Florida, Texas and USC. The next seven (in now particular order) are Ohio State, Oregon, Oklahoma State, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Alabama and Virginia Tech.

Alabama in the top 5 eliminates any legitimacy of almost any of these polls. Especially the two having them up at #2.
I remember Auburn fans last year almost happy that Cox was leaving so they'd improve at QB and look what happened to them. I forsee a similar result at Bama this coming season with a slightly better season from Bama due to Julio Jones' presence.

I agree with Florida and Texas being 1 and 2, but with all of the talent leaving ohio state, USC, georgia, alabama, oklahoma and the suspect nature of Ole Miss, LSU, Virginia Tech and Oklahoma State I think the rest of the top 15 is really a crapshoot.

If Jordan Jefferson plays the whole year every game in 2009 the way Sam Bradford got to play every game for Okla. his freshman and sophmore year(s) then look out everyone, that means no injuries, so more running i.e. trying to be Steve Young. LSU can afford no injuries for Mr. Jefferson.

That's dumb telling him not to run.

Just a vison, that's all. Every time I see that pic.
I wish someone could falk her squeezing those major leagers until one of the implants explode
....filling the screen with the saline substance that slowly covers our view of her..... as she screams.
And screams.

you should change the second and third words in the sentence to any.
