Fla and TCU look pretty beatable. LSU and OSU are the best 2 at CWS.

Would be something to see LSU/OSU in a championship 3 game series with rested arms.

Agreed. Especially considering we are both down a starter

Not really. FLA is the best team when Faedo is pitching, imho.

Tell that to LSU who is 1-3 against UF & TCU this season.

To be fair, Lange had a really bad night that game vs TCU, and we were pretty much out of it from there

Janczack looked like shite against us that night, too.

Not that it really matters now, that was back in February. Point is that OP thinks UF and OSU look beatable, well so does LSU and even OSU for that matter.

Would agree. I wish the CWS did like the Softball World Series and had a "bracket switch". The loser of the "winner-winner" game went to the other bracket.

So after we lost to Oregon State Monday, we would have ended up with TCU/Florida. Not that our path would have been easy, but it would have allowed the possibility of the "two best teams" (LSU/OSU) to meet in the finala.

Huh?

Who is to say Florida and OSU aren't the 2 best teams since they started out 2-0... or LSU & Florida... or TCU & OSU?

How does flipping the brackets fix that?

I should have worded it better I guess....I just like the bracket swap because it eliminates a team having to play the same team 3 times to win the bracket. It creates more different matchups.

We essentially already have a best of three already against OSU and split the first two, game three tomorrow.

ETA: I like the bracket swap too to create different matchups. It would have been fun to beat another team instead of Florida St twice.

Seeding aside these are the 4 best teams in America and have been for most of the year. Even though a lot of dumbasses here wanted to fire PM for dropping midweek games

And it allows two teams from the same original bracket to meet in the finals. Someone had said it was too bad LSU and OSU couldn't meet in the finals, and with the bracket switch it could happen.

But you said a few posts up that you don't want to play the same team 3 times.

3 times in bracket play before the championship series.

Why does that matter?

If anything, with flipped brackets a team could conceivably play each other 5 times.

4, not 5. But they could split those 4.

Whoops.

Regardless, that's too much and I like how the CWS emulated the regional/super format.

Faedo can't pitch every game dude. He's not s guaranteed win anyway. LSU and oregon st are the best 2 teams in the cws.

Both teams are a combined 45 -2 in last 47 games with the loses coming against each other coming out of major conferences. Tell me how the hell they are not two best teams in CWS again lol

That was earlier in the season. This team ain't the same team it was in February and March. Bats are hitting more consistently, pitching has gotten better. We still have some gaps, but so does every other team in this.
