OSU was all coaching. Hodson threw a pic on the 2 yard line with under 2 minutes to play tied at 13. Arnsparger would've played for the certain 3 and win. I always wondered how that team would have been with Bill Arnsparger or even Steve Spurrier as coach instead of Mike Archer. If you want a common opponent, South carolina only lost to the "U" 20-16 that year. LSU beat SC 30-13 in the Gator Bowl without Harvey Williams and it wasn't that close

Ohio State was the dirtiest team I've ever seen in TS, except for Tulane under Wally English.

Jeez.....Chris did NOT spit in Eric's face. Damn people. Eric Kumero the OLB for OSU was talking smack at the toss.....that is why E went after him.

That 1987 team was Eric's team.

We had to go for a 4th and 4 to get a first down late in the 4th and rally to beat Tulane. We were lucky to be #5.

Hey, Sherman. When did you leave "Texomaland"? I lived in Fannin Co, your eastern neighbor back in 81-83. Love Sherman/Denison, and man, do I miss the fishing in Tx.

My dad blamed the loss to Bama on the extended halftime/momentum killer due to the filing of Everybody's All-American.

The Black Death defense was supposed to take us apart. They either lost a season's worth of game film on Hodson to Davis or chose to ignore it. They'd blitz, quick out to Davis, big gain, repeat. They kept doing it and kept getting smoked.
