it's obvious Etling is changing the plays at the line because Les hates passing and scoring.

did i do it right?

If your goal is to continue to be one of the worst posters on the board, you're doing great!

So does this crush the narrative that Les and Cam don't want to use the TE?

seriously though (not looking it up), when is the last time a LSU QB successfully spread the ball to seven different receivers?

he shut up many of his detractors on this board. but, first poor performance he has; they'll be back.

it's the LSU way.

63 percent completion rate?!?! He's just showing off at this point.

More incredibly.. The last time we had 19 completions and won a game (so we weren't throwing because we had to) was against MS state in 2013. that's also the only time Mett had 19+ in a win..

To me, without a doubt it does.

we will certainly see off games from our pro-style QB in the near future. After all, we still need to see his composure under that type of pressure...that is coming back from bad throws or LSU playing from behind (SEC team).

The other question that should be discussed is: has les finally realized and understands what type of QB works with his preferred type of offense? We have Brenan coming in too!

The QBs everyone loves to hate - Jennings and Jefferson - were both pro-style QBs.

We've only had two dual-threat QBs start for LSU since Miles took over - Perrilloux and Harris.

ETA: @ the downvotes for stating a fact.

He definitely shut me up. I was one of the "Coming from Purdue to the SEC is a whole new beast" people.

But to be fair, I only said he's not the answer because we haven't seen him on the field for LSU. When he came on the field against Jacksonville, I got excited because obviously our offense couldn't get anything going through an entire game and the first couple drives against a FCS opponent. And he has definitely proven he can sling it. Which I don't care if he has 150 or 400 passing yards. All we needed was a competent QB to take the load off of fournette's back.

I am not sure what would be worse...

Does Les avoid plays using the QB and most passing

or

Does Les insist on using QB's who can't get past their first two reads and limits our play calling severely.

I'll give you Jennings. Jefferson may have been recruited as a pro-style, but he wasn't used as that.

FTR, I can understand how difficult it must be to recruit a QB but Miles' inabilities in this area are astounding. Enough of that though :deadhorse:

Didn't Pocic's penalty also wipe out a hugely important 1st down pass to a TE?

Could be wrong, but wasn't one brought back for a penalty.

Harris was 18/28 for 228 yards and hit 7 different guys against South Carolina last year.
