17 percent of all 7-footers on Earth play in the NBA (LSU related)

I was reading in ESPN magazine that 17% of all men 7-foot or taller play in the NBA some point in their lives. LSU has two 7-footers on the roster averaging 3 ppg and 3 rpg combined.

That stat isn't even the original stat, which was also wrong, but it keeps getting passed around.
