Yeah I dont get why anyone has Malone starting, ER III is better,

Based on what? Robinson's recruiting rankings? Pure hope that Robinson is better?

LSU was desperate for frontcourt depth last year. Yet after Nov. Robinson only saw the court again for a minute here or there at the end of a blowout. Certainly if the coaching staff felt that he was significantly better than Malone, they would have gotten him the game more, right?

Starting Malone certainly isn't ideal and I hope Robinson makes a big jump from year 1 to year 2, but with Victor out for at least part of the season who are you going to put next to Simmons? (Epps maybe) Not that Darcy gives you a ton on the floor, but until Robinson shows that he can do ANYTHING on the floor to help the team, then I think the de facto start goes to Malone

Skill level. Robinson possesses some skill for a 7 footer, Malone is just a disaster in about any aspect there is. Offensively challenged, cant defend without fouling, etc...

I'll say it again, Tuba was a better basketball player than Malone is.

And once again, ER III was HURT the majority of last season. That's why he didnt play.

I didn't even know he was hurt last year. Was always wondering why he wasn't getting more playing time. He's got a nice post game and a soft touch. Should be a good player for us.

Has that ever been confirmed outside of just sheer speculation on this board?

I am cheering for Malone, I really am. Seems like a great guy and puts his time in.

With that said, I actually do think Tuba was more coordinated on the court when they saw action. Maybe it's just nerves for Malone

I dont understand why people have victor starting at center. Hes only 6'8" and plays like a 3/stretch 4

confirmed. Coach Jones talked about it for both Epps and Elbert. Nothing really bad, but bad enough to hinder his development.
