11, 12, 13, 14 wins are unnecessary to my happiness in the SEC.

As long as the other teams don't reach 11, 12, 13, 14 wins, either.

Agree or disagree?

I'm happy if:
1) We are in discussion for a title run deep into most seasons
2) We win, or at least play for, a title every 4 or 5 years

...because I'm realistic and see the results of every other great coach in college football not named Nick Saban.

To EXPECT 10+ wins in the SEC is foolish, considering the depth of talent in this league. Les is in trouble because he has not been competitive for titles.

10 wins is not as hard to accomplish when you play play a minimum of 13 games a year. It should be expected at least every other year at a football school like LSU

So in other words, we are exactly right on schedule and performing at a clip that should be expected, because mcneese and your 13 game qualifier.

I think 9+ wins/season is a reasonable expectation for the Tigers, given their level of team talent. Also, it would be reasonable to expect LSU football be competitive in any losing contests, and in a position to potentially win in the last 5 minutes of the game.

That's a loser mentality. That is fine at Ole Miss, Arkansas and Miss State. Not here.

You'll probably get that from basketball this year.

None of it is necessary for my happiness. But it would be nice to see my alma mater utilize elite homegrown talent and not squander it. Not being Bamas fleshlight would be an added plus.

Correct. Problem is we have 14 losses in the last 4 years.

Why do you all think Saban is some unbeatable King of football? Even Freeze has managed to beat him twice with half the talent. Saban has a huge weakness and it's a well run hurry up offense that incorporates quick passes. The guy is clueless when he can't substitute defenders in left and right. That's why he failed miserably in the NFL.

Ok. What does that have to do with 10 wins at least every other year over 13 games? We've done that except for 08 and 09. But those years were sandwiched by 11,11,12, and 11,13,10,10 win seasons. So I reckon we can let those go. The past 4 we have had a 10 win season at least every other year though. That's what we expect, correct? So we are meeting expectations? Or do we change expectations now because we don't like what our expectations produce?

Les has not been competitive for SEC titles or even winning the west the past few years either.

For real. Go 5-3 in the SEC and LSU gets 10 wins most years. Not too shabby but not what we should aim for.
