I'm gonna be going to the ole miss game this year and I have never been up there. Just wondering where to stay, are there any good places to eat, and if there is anything that is a must see other than the grove of course. TIA

Take his advice; stay in Memphis. Oxfart is a shite hole. All they have there is a Wal-Mart.

bring weapons.
Stay in greneda or any little towns on Interstate close to oxford.
Wear your thickest shin you have.
Leave the women at home.
square is decent to go to after game.
People suck and they hate you ... know that going in and you will be ok.

Lot of the kids there dont believe in santa clause anymore.
I broke the news to them last time I was there.

Doubtful you'll find any hotels in town. We're in Tupelo; not exactly the excitement capital of the state but better than cowbell city.

Do that when Texas A&M joins and the parents will be heartbroken.

My wife goes to grad school at Ole Piss. We have a duplex that we purchased last year. We are remodeling it right now. Will be done with it by the game. If any of y'all need a place to stay for the weekend I won't mind helping out my fellow tiger fans. It's about a half mile from campus. Also, Oxford blows. I hate going up there.

Oxford is full of the most obnoxious, pretentious people you will ever meet. The Grove is seriously overrated, the stadium is laughable, the best tailgates are run by LSU fans, and the football team is an abortion.

Yeah I figured I would have to stay in Memphis or batesville. Thanks for the tips I have thick skin so I'm not to worried about the teasing I expect that at an away game. The game will make up for all that I hope. Look forward to seeing some LSU fans and having a great time.

their fans have an inferiority complex the size of the former Soviet Union...keep in mind, a large number of their students and alumni are rich kids who weren't smart enough for Vandy or Tulane...
