Zach Mettenberger went off today in Region VI Championship

Threw for 6 TD and no interceptions against #5 ranked Hutchinson today to win the Region VI Championship, he'll get to go play in a JUCO Bowl game now and will likely be the de-facto NC game as Butler is ranked #1. Stats on the season (11 games)...
159 for 271, 2512 yards, 33 TD (2 rush), 3 INT, 172.1 QB RAT
I think you'll continue to see him rise in the JUCO rankings. This guy is an elite QB prospect.

Well, considering our great track record of developing ELITE QBs, I think the answer to your question is quite obvious.

Oh I thought you were saying that he is already developed or something of that nature. We need to hire a QB coach that is good. Because if we waste Mett it will piss me off to the extreme. Not hating on Crowton but if he can get 1 Mill a year then surely a really good QB coach can get 300k

While i think we need a coach dedicated to the QB position,we haven't exactly had an elite talent to turn in to an elite QB.Jefferson has a lot of athletic talent but have you seen him throw the ball?For a guy that throws the ball in practice probably somewhere in the area of 700-1000 times a week,he sure throws a bad ball accuracy wise.Lee is only good in rhythm but does have a very good arm.Both are challenged mentally.They make some of the dumbest decisions I have ever seen from a QB on a consistent basis.The mental part of QB is the most important part.Bill Walsh couldn't make them elite or smarter.

This is why it is so important to get him because he needs little development, it is the type of QB Crowton can win with , hahah we have one loss.
