I remeber a few months ago there was an article about Miles contacting this kid about playing at LSU and the article said that Treadwell was interested.

The question is, why would this kid go to Ole Miss ?

LSU is going to be set at the quarterback postion for years to come and with his talents he could find a starting position next year at LSU and contend for national championships every year that he is here.

If he chooses Ole Miss, he may catch a few more passes, but he will be a "system" WR on a .500 team that gets little to no national TV exposure and medicore bowls at best.

He could end up being the man at LSU.

Just stop. This shite is unnecessary and not even remotely funny.

after next year, we have no proven QBs.

No he cant. No one is passing Beckham or Landry and passing Wright or Boone would be a tough go for a freshman. Even if he did pass Boone or Wright, he's looking at maybe 15-20 touches next year.

what do u mean system WR? Moncrife had like 200 yards on us this year, basically running go routes on our "#1" corner Simon. He could have easily had 300+ receiving had Wallace not missed him mutliple times after he burnt our secondary.

Freeze took a team that had back to back 2 win seasons and almost beat LSU in TS and won 6 games. If you think Ole Miss is going anywhere but up, you are very mistaken.

If I were an OOS WR, I wouldnt even bother looking at LSU.

I think there were some issues with his HS coach not giving him all the mail he should have been getting, so he didn't even know we were recruiting him until later in the process. I think our interest faded a bit, and his interest in other schools picked up.

Weird situation overall. But him being a WR, I can see the appeal of Ole Miss' offense.

You said a mouthful!!! Freeze is a very good coach with tons of momentum. Ole Miss is going to get better before they get worst.

#1 receiver in the country and his final two are Ole Miss and Oklahoma State. Interesting. Midwest folks are saying Treadwell is for sale but that could be sour grapes.

This is college football. Nobody has a proven QB outside of its starter. That is a ridiculous point. LSU has very highly recruited QBs slated for the next 4 years.

Ole Miss is pretty much at its pinnacle.

To think that they are a significant threat to LSU, assuming LSU is somewhere near its potential is laughable.

...as compared to an Ole Miss? You are crazy.

I try to be a realist.

Our passing offense the last 4-5 years has been the Debbie Downer.

Um, OM only had 1 2 win season (2011). They won 4 the previous year. Freeze inherited some good offensive talent that just happened to quit on his predecessor. They decided to play harder for the new coach.

ok, the op said we are set at QB for the future and I was refuting it. Seems like your just wanting to argue with someone.

so Freeze took a back to back 2 win program and won 6 games and returns prolly %90 of the starters and he's reached his pinnacle? You sounds like you know a lot about football.

I didnt say this but like I said, it sounds like you're just wanting to argue.

Freeze is more willing to throw than Miles has been. Mett had 2400 yards this year and a no name, nobody QB named bo wallace who joined a 2 win team had 2800 this year.

RR had prolly one of the best receiving years at LSU under Miles with 900 yards. Moncrief had 900 in Freeze's first year with a no name QB and a program that was about to flat line.

nice try though big guy

With QBs that were worse than Wallace. RR might have gotten 1,000 if he didn't quit on 1/9.

whatever. It's not like it makes much of a difference. They were a laughing stock 2 years in a row and were one of the worst teams I had ever seen in 2011.

I don't get fans like this. LSU isn't the best at everything. You say one thing neutral and unbiased about the program vs another program and you're automatically a Saban disciple or Debbie Downer.

So you pointing out our #1 WR quit on our team during a NC game because of playcalling?

My point exactly.

Um, that was going a bit far. If elite recruits want to win championships (even elite offensive recruits), they're going to places like LSU.
