On 247, when USC and Alabama both had 24 commits, USC was behind by about 1.5 points. They added 2 more to get to 26 and lo and behold, they're STILL behind Alabama by about half a point. Those last two players accounted for ONE point. Unbelievable. The fix was definitely in.

Correct. 3 of the 4 major networks had USC #1 but somehow the composite had Bama #1 by a point. ESPNs rankings once again fricking everything up. To be real about it though, both had monster classes that are deep everywhere. Is it any surprise that these 2 schools are 1 and 2? Bama is a machine and USC with full schollie limits is always a force.

In a surprising turn of events, 247 actually caused us to bump way IP in the composite based just on class rankings of the 4 majors. I know the class rankings on each aren't what determines the composite but in a sense it correlates. Strange how those averages work in the end number.

Agree. USC football wasn't actually found guilty of cheating or breaking rules. Did they? Of course they did but they weren't actually caught or accused in the NCAA findings. The NCAA had a hard on for them and wanted(felt they needed ) a major school to make an example of to show their power. They blanketed it all with the Lack of Institutional Control(basically the NCAA version of the RICO act) crap to cover the fact that they had no real evidence. Reggie Bush was the one that did wrong(his parents actually but he knew). The USC basketball program are the ones that actually cheated and got caught. The NCAA may actually end up losing this battle legally. USC is suing and very likely to win. NCAA will be further neutured after this.
