Too many transfers and signees to count.

No impact, Justin Jefferson gives us the 85 scholly limit

So we still have about 29 schollies to offer in 2018 ?

I believe the number is 28 but I may be wrong

I think Jefferson was 85 and then Maea left, so we're currently at 84. They announced that they had a scholarship for Jefferson immediately after Seth Stewart left, but before Maea did.
Regardless, that has very little impact on the number of guys we can sign next year other than helping manage the 85 scholarship limit, which appears dicey.
I think, assuming we have three early enrollees, we can take 28 next year, but it looks to me like we're going to have to do some serious processing to take all 28. I think we only have 16 seniors this year, and I'm not sure which juniors are going to be able to go pro other than Guice. Maybe Dante Jackson leaves? I honestly don't know with him. I'm sure a couple more will have great seasons, but even if four juniors declare, that still has us only able to take 21, so I would assume up to 7 guys will be asked to find other arrangements.

Some kid that promised 20 sacks last year. He's pretty good too. Or so I hear.

Haha. Wow. I'm feeling really dumb for forgetting about that guy.

With Jefferson and Shelvin we are at 85 for 2017.
16 seniors and 6 possible early departures (Clapp, Weathersby, Key, D. Jackson, Tolliver and Guice), unless someone blows up not many other Jrs. to consider leaving early.
Pure conjecture...Jefferson counts as an 2017 qualifier (first year scholarship) which would reduce by one the number eligible to be counted back in the 2018 class (Seth Stewart was a qualifier, but did he enroll? and how does that effect available spots in the 2017 class for counting back). Therefore, 27 or 28 possible signees in this class, and IMO 29 was an iffy guess to begin with, so I would venture to guess the number is now 27.

Good info. But you sure about this? Where does the Seth Stewart vacancy fit? It was reported that Jefferson took the scholarship that Stewart vacated. I assume Shelvin was always accounted for. So when Maea left shouldn't that have opened one up?

I'm only getting 84, not 85, with the departure of Teheuma. I have Shelvin included as well. Also all 3 of the transfers (Fehoko, Moss, Giles).
4 special teams schollies also counted - Growden, Gamble, Ferguson & Culp.
