LINK Randy Onwuasor 6ft 3" combo guard. Last year for Southern Utah, in just 19 games he averaged 23.6 ppg. Kid looks like he could really help us this year.

Add him and I feel like this could definitely be an NIT potential team next year.

I'm thinking this may be an NCAA bubble team

His "mental performance consultant" was on the radio today saying Wade doesn't sleep (obviously not literally). He goes to bed late and wakes up around 4:00 am.

It NEVER hurts to bring in good players, but man, LSU would be top heavy at guard and have only 4 frontcourt players. Where would this guy fit in with Mays, Sampson, Waters, Alexander, Edwards, Rachal? You know as a grad transfer he wouldn't be coming in just to be a role player. He's going somewhere to start.

I guess Wade could put him at the 2 with Mays/Waters at PG and Sampson at the 3 spot

i think it's a given that we're gonna be playing a lot of small ball next year. it shouldn't really hurt us until tourney time. I don't think 20 wins and a bubble team is unrealistic at this point.

I genuinely gave more faith in Wade than Orgeron

We have his last visit on August 8th. He is visiting Gonzaga and South Carolina before visiting us per scout.

considering how last season went and the look of the roster when Wade took over, I think its pretty remarkable we're even talking NIT.

Exactly. People acting like they would be shocked if we don't make the tournament is crazy. Even though this team is more talented overall than last year we still don't have that 1 dominate player you need and our chemistry is almost non existent

Goddamnit Wade has me excited for basketball season. I don't even care that this team is clearly in rebuild mode next season, I'm just excited to see some well coached basketball after the slopfest of Johnny Jones.

Future looks bright as hell with Wade at the helm. Can't imagine a few years down the road if he's able to continue garnering this much interest and excitement from top players and has a full roster of all his guys.

You could argue the team isn't in "rebuild" mode next season. He's purged players (including two seniors) who apparently didn't fit his style of play. He also brought in two transfers who will play immediately. Finally, he returns at least two upperclassmen who are (likely) starters: Reath and Sampson.

I think the SEC may be as good top to bottom next year as it's been in a quite a while, so finishing high in conf. play will be very tough. However, Wade doesn't look like he's content just to send a bunch of Freshman and Sophomores out their to take their lumps in a rebuild project. He has constructed his roster as best he can to give LSU a chance to compete next season.

Arguably, year 2 of the Wade era will be more of a "rebuild" as the roster should primarily consist of 1st and 2nd year players

I don't think we have any idea what our chemistry is. Last year it was bad. But this is almost a brand new team and new coaching staff. We could have the best chemistry in the conference for all we know. I thinks it's way too early to be saying things about team chemistry.
