if only people would realize JJ wasn't a dual threat....he was a no threat qb. His strength may have been running but that's more of a testament to how shitty his passing was, he wasn't a very good runner.

regardless many of the people who have scouted this Jennings feel its a great disservice to him to label him as a running qb. But why go look things like that up for yourself when you can just swim in ignorance like you choose to do?

I hesitate to keep such a bad thread going. It is making it harder to keep the LSU LSU LSU thread on the first page. But it makes a ton of sense to have 5 or 6 qbs given the terrible play of recent vintage and the importance of the position. We have the same number of running backs, and people say, in all caps, WE STACKED, THEY EFFEDd RAWWWWWWRRRRRRR, but then complain when we want a similar number of qbs

if we've learned anything these past few years its that you should keep your options at qb limited, right?????

JJ was bad.
But, Ryan Perriloux (sp?) was pretty damn good on the field. If he would've stayed, you might have a different opinion of dual threat qb's.

this +1000

Plus who knows if they will all work.

I'm guessing he only needed to see the rivals photo to form his opinion...

So with you way of thinking since Jarrett Lee was not a very good pro style QB i guess LSU should never sign another pro style qb either? Guess LSU just wont use a qb in the future since the last 2 have been bad.

If you read his scouting report he's actually a pocket passer with mobility. They only list him as a dual threat b/c he has that ability to create when things breakdown.

First, I hate you for starting this shite on here again.

Second. Rivals #8 pro-style quarterback, Jefferson Is that who you're talking about?

Third. Ever heard of a guy called Robert Griffin, III who was the 4th ranked dual threat qb? How about Cam Newton? Rick Stanzi? Jake Locker? Zac Robinson? Chase Daniell? Case McCoy? Teddy Bridgewater? Vince Young? Tim Tebow?
Yeah, those guys all sucked!

Third, I still hate you!

Fourth, the last dual threat QB who started a game at QB for LSU was in the SEC Championship and he was the player of the game.

Finally, maybe you should go post more threads on the Rant. I think you'll get more responses to your liking over there.

Have a nice day!

simple. look at all teams with dual threat qbs and pick 3 thats ever won a NC or made it to the big game. like it or not, dual threat QB's are like side arm pitcher. only good for a few plays and get their arse out of there.

See my post above. Three Heisman trophy winners, a runner up and three BCS national championships say STFU because you don't know what you're talking about!

No, you're being a douche.

Go back to the rant and let the mature folks discuss the recruiting. I trust Krags much more than I care about your opinion.

according to my military experience the more threats the enemy has to defend against the better off you are going to be. I think we are loaded with threats, not the least of which is the WR and TE that can catch a pass. If per chance
all the receivers are covered good chance there will be lots of running room for the QB so if he has decent legs let er rip. First choice though has got to be hit the open guy with the pass and save the wear and tear on the QB one hard hit to the knee and it can be lights out for the season for even the most talented passer

I agree. No team in the entire country ever signs two QBs in a class.

Add to the fact that every black QB will absolutely turn into Jordan Jefferson.

This class is fricked.

What's amazing to me with this commitment is the last 8 have been from out of state. What's up with that?

We are tearing it up! We still have some big OOS prospects out there too...I expect at least 3 more OOS ones to commit
