Umm according to the spring depth chart hes a backup. And it says in that article that
quote:

TCU's secondary has not changed from the end of last season, as TCU returns all starters from last year's secondary. LSU transfer David Jenkins is listed as a backup cornerback.

Deon Sanders was one of, if not the, best to ever walk on a football field at corner. On top of that he was the best athlete of that generation, inb4boknowsbo, or close to it...and his generation was loaded!

I doubt Chavis saw those qualities in Jenkins

He couldn't catch the ball with his arms around the goal post.

This is correct although things could change as it is only May. The starting CB on that side had trouble in the early part of last year before coming on late. I wouldn't be shocked if he remained the starter but Jenkins earned greater playing time throughout the year if he can prove he deserves it. LSU fans probably can at least expect to see Chucky Hunter, James McFarland and Terrell Lathan from West Monroe in that game.

Hunter played well when I saw him last year.

Always a Hunter fan...wish we had signed him. He could be pushing Thomas and Johnson in the rotation right now.

IMO he would be our #3 DT.
