Who would hurt us more if they went to Ole Miss?

Les Miles or Frank Wilson. I know it is just speculation that either would go there, but assuming they did, which would hurt us more?

I really don't think either would go. At least I hope they wouldn't.

DOnt think either would go.

Les will not put a blemish on his resume by losing at a school under NCAA probation

Frank Wilson will not damage his up and coming career by losing at a school crippled by sanction.

If Frank Wilson goes to Ole Miss and is successful he'd jump at the chance to coach LSU ala Tubbs/Auburn so I'm not too worried about that

I agree. Frank's heart is at LSU and he loves Louisiana. Plus, LSU is a much better job than ole Miss.

Frank Wilson is not going to go to Ole Miss. He has the UTSA program going in the right direction. Even played in bowl games for the first time ever this past season.

He can stay there and get a job at a REAL P5 program. Going to Ole Miss would be committing career suicide.

Coach O and Frank are very good friends. Coach O gave him his first job and they have coached together at Ole Miss, Tennessee and LSU. Frank knows what a bad stint at OM can do to an up and coming coach's career.

Former University of Southern California football coach Ed Orgeron gave LSU recruiting coordinator Frank Wilson his first college job and talks about why Wilson has become one of the best recruiters in the country.

The former LSU assistant could be a coveted man for "power five" coaching vacancies this winter if UTSA meets or exceeds the preseason hype. The Roadrunners received seven votes to win the C-USA West in the preseason poll, an indication of a program trending upward.

Last season under Wilson, UTSA went 6-6 in the regular season and lost to New Mexico in the New Mexico Bowl. Not only was it the first postseason appearance in school history, but it was a key moment for a program that played its first game in 2012 and won three games before Wilson's arrival.

Neither. The Ole Miss job was a tough job before all of the Freeze NCAA infractions. Look at the damn Ole Miss program. What has it ever achieved. The last SEC Title won by Ole Miss football was in 1963. That is 54 years ago. There were Studebakers and Packards being driven back then.

Ole Miss is the only original SEC West team to have never gotten to Atlanta. It is very tough to recruit to Ole Miss as they split the state with MSU and USM as well as losing key players (Myles Brennan) to OOS schools every year. They do not have a great recruiting base and are extremely limited when they recruit nationally unless they cheat.

Consider that they are in the SEC West with LSU, Alabama, Auburn, and A&M. The chances that Ole Miss will ever catch a period where they are on an upswing while all 4 of those other programs are down is virtually zero.

Any coach who goes there especially at this time is heading down a dead end street.
That is just a fact.

I actually think ales would take that job in a second. At his age, he's not getting another job that high profile. And he could be a nice steward if only short-term. I think it makes a ton of sense for both sides.

Like it or not Frank would win the color battle in numerous cases in recruiting wars.

Yeah Ms is small, but there are still some years more people from the state of Mississippi get drafted in the NFL than LA.

So the talent is there. You just have to do your best to shut the other program out and still get talented players from surrounding states that are D1 talent, like in LA. LSU can't take everyone.

Someone could win there. They would just need time and not be limited on scholarships.

Les and Frank would get LA players there. Not necessarily beat LSU out for players, but beat out the teams like tamu, tcu, Arkansas that tend to get quality guys that LSU just didn't have room for.

As more and more of the onion gets peeled back, it's possible there may not be a next coach at OM.

Neither. You negative recruit against Les for his recent past. You go against Frank with little HC experience and very little HC at UTSA. I want Frank as HC one day just saying.

Brennan went to Stanislaus. That does not make him a good example for your case.

Wilson's familiarity with the SEC landscape and recruiting connections in the state of LA would hurt. Young, dynamic, and can relate to the kids/parents. Would be very tough on LSU IMO.
