Chris Lewis - very fast kid, but under the radar. Actually beat JB in a few track meets this past track season.

Maybe so, but he won't be a part of this class.

I forget the year but one of those USC classes had to be the greatest. They had like 12 guys in the top 3 at their position.

And won one bcs title in a weak arse conference. Well it was weak when they won it. No stanford or oregon to compete with.

look back at the rankings, weve ranked lower than usc, fsu, uga, aub, osu, nd and others over the years. none of them have more bcs titles than us. only one of them play in the hardest division in college football.

We never do. Might get someone we might not expect, but they would probably not replace an elite blue chipper.

Oh rly?

Just watch for Tashwan Bower. Id take him over nkemdiche. A surprise at the end, not ranked as high, but wants to be a tiger.

Sam montgomery was a surprise as well.

Guess what im saying is a surprise isnt always that bad.

We are talking about recruiting rankings aren't we? Well all I'm saying is USC has had probably the greatest ranking on a recruiting class. And sure they might have not been more successful as LSU but look at the big names they have put in the NFL in the past decade..

Look at how many are busts. They've had more 5 star busts than any other school. For all the talent they have a lot of them have shitty careers in the pros.

And LSU hasn't had 5 star busts? Yeah, USC might have the most busts, but that's because they have the most 5 stars. All I'm saying is that USC has had some of the best recruiting classes based on stars and rankings. This class should be number 1 this year but on stars and rankings alone I wouldn't put it as number 1 all time. And beside Patrick Peterson we don't have any pro bowlers who have graduated from LSU in recent memory.

You're right, it was a weak conference, but the U of Serial Cheaters has no BCS titles. None. In fact, no Even More Pacific 12 team (formerly the Very Pacific 10) has a BCS crystal football in their trophy case.

It's true many of the Ketchup and Mustard classes have enjoyed hype, but either that was all it was, or bad coaching, or they felt obliged to live up to their namesakes: the Trojans are the most famous losers in history/mythology. In any case, they underperformed and still underperform. Wonder if Kiffin will vote his team #1 again this pre-season -- then lie about it -- and finish out of the Top 25, again.

Well, obviously the class is not signed yet nor have they played a game. But....the USC class that is being talked about was 2006/2007.

2007 was the Joe McKnight class. It was #2 behind Florida but had 6 5* compared to Florida's 4. But when you look at that class, only Joe McKnight and Everson Griffin did anything. Out of 18 commits, 2 did anything. The 2006 class had 5 5* and was really deep. But in that class, it was heavy RB, WR with a couple good ATH/DB.

Now, even though I said this class has not even graduated yet let alone played in a game, those classes were above average at best. As compared to this class just in terms of "potential and status", this one would be #1. As good as the "potential" was in that USC class, This class would have so many guys that are tops at the position. Also, if you were to look at player by player in each position, LSU's potential class would blow them away.

Just to show a small comparison since I have nothing to do...Lol

-Their #1 recruit was #7 overall- Vidal Hazelton. He was aweful and ended up trying to play at Cincy. LSU's would be Leonard Fournette. Does this really need an explanation? or maybe I should have compared him to CJ Gable or Stephon Johnson, the top RB for them. Still, no comparison as a High Schooler nor college potential
-Their #2 was Allen Bradford who ended up being a pretty decent RB but was a LB as a recruit. Or maybe I should compare the OL they signed, but since he was the #10 OL, it may not be an apples to apples comparison. Cause the #2 for LSU could be Cam Robinson! Do I really have to......
- Their QB was #7 and never played and was not nationally ranked. LSU's is to some, the top DT QB and is in the Top 200.
- LSU could have the top MLB whereas that class they had the #5 LB...who never played.
-As for WR's... as stated they had one who was the #7 overall recruit, but was bad. They had a track guy in Holland, then they had the #5 WR-Ausberry and the #39 WR. LSU could have the #1 WR in Dupre, Noil who could be top 10, Upchurch who is under rated, Blacknall @ #15, and Quinn @ #14 (who not only should be higher)...but will probably end up as the most likely be the most prolific HS WR ever. Crazy!
- At DB, they had 5* Taylor Mays and Wright who was the #38 national recruit. Also one other 4* DB who never saw the field. LSU could have the #1 and #4 Safety in Hootie and Paris(who could also be a top 5 corner). And also a top, if not #1, corner in Brown.

Sorry for the long post but as I said I am bored at the office and love recruiting!
