Not freaking out, because, at the end of the day, 18-22 year olds do not put food on my plate or provide for my family. They play a sport in which I get entertainment out of...they give me a chance to block the daily stresses out for a few hours...that's it. I'm thankful for that, and I wish them all the success in the world, but I certainly don't freak out over signing day.

I have a sinking feeling it's not going to turn out like we hope it will be. You can never predict what a seventeen year old will do. In a sense, they are like three year olds with ADD..

The ones freaking out are the same ones who want to believe these so called insiders who don't know shite. This is the same story every year. We will sign a good class and yes we will miss out on a few next Wed.

Me for one. We will finish with a good class and filling positions of need. We will close great like we always do. I am not stressed out about it at all and I have faith and Coach oh and have no doubt that LSU will put a great product on the field next year. We will also continue to recruit great athletes. So in short, I am not worried about it at all. We are going to do what we do, which is finished with top 10 classes annually at the worst. Just sit back and enjoy it because with the talent we already have on their roster and this incoming class we will be okay for years to come. Geaux tigers

What I am freaking out about, though, are those tittays!!!

I'm not. There's no point in it because it's out of my control. Whatever happens happens and freaking out won't change anything.

That's the attitude to have about it.

quote:The whole thing about this coaching change though, is one of the selling points was continuity in coaching staff to keep recruiting on track. It worries me that we have lost out on players literally in our back yard at a position of much need with this class. Even got trolled by one.
Top 10 during ANY coaching change is literally unprecented. I would like to see a great close, but I'm not jumping off a bridge if we don't get all the big fish.
I mean, let's be honest with ourselves. If it's Coach O in your living room compared to some other coaches, doesn't even have to be Saban, who would you rather play for? Recruiting changes when you go from being the bag man to the head honcho.
I'm wishing the best for O, but it wouldn't be a surprise to me if we had a lackluster finish. O needs to sell the school and his coordinators, not playing for him.

I'm not. If we miss out it want be because the staff got out worked.

Not me. Great class and with the coaching change, we would've taken (what will be) the 25-27 person class in a heartbeat.
Posted on 1/25/17 at 7:13 pm to Captain Crown
I'm not. Life is too short to worry a lot about things beyond one's control, especially the decisions made by a bunch of 17-18 year olds. We won't get everyone we might want, but we will do just fine. There really isn't that much difference in the top 15 classes, regardless of the overall stars/points, etc. As long as you are consistently recruiting among the the top 15, your program will do just fine if you can develop that talent properly. With the staff we have, that can be done.

Me. I have faith in coach o finishing strong and even if we don't we still have some serious talent returning on both side of the ball. We have talent on this team already and if we don't address the team needs this class we will address them next class. The tigers football team will be fine regardless and we will have a top 10 class which is a good haul in anyone's book. Stop panicking, relax, and less see how these last two weeks pan out. Geaux tigers.

No matter what we say about it, Moses or Allen weren't coming here. Hopefully we can pull 2 out of Phillips gay and Tyler. That would stablize that need. We need Marvin Wilson and Mathis to stablize our Dline with great depth to pair with big Christian, Alexander, and Lawrence. I'd like for us to add either Harris or Robertson. Sucks about Smith, but it happens. The two big fish are Wilson and Chiasson. I hope we land both.
Have faith and enjoy the process.

Im not. No point in driving self crazy. Give O a full season/year to lay his groundwork. That doesn't mean I dont hope thes players commit to us.

I'm not. Can't wait to to see how it ends

I'm not at all. I'm too confident in us
