actually i remember the super 5&10, where rosenblums was later, then walmart later on, was full of state tshirts around that time.

LSU had come off a decent year in 82.

bottom fell out in 83.

yup. the good old days. i was at pleasant hill in 83.

i don't think the speed of information exchange and the technology mediums we use have made us any better.

i don't feel free when i'm carrying an iphone around.

all this technology and i bet the mill still smells like shite.

i remember when we moved there from new orleans, and they told me i would get used to the smell. that's bullshite.

i think we've had 6 guys in the nfl in the last 30 years because of those strong teams murray had in the early to mid eighties.

right now we're 1 every 5 years over the last 30. that sounds more bad arse than it really is, but we'll take it.

John Bond started from 80-83. Bond put up 55 on us in 83. Lundie beat us in 84 pretty much by himself. Smith was 85 when we finally stopped the MSU win streak.

Also part of the demise of that town. It was a good town back then, but really started going down hill in the mid 90's when the mom and pop businesses started closing. Now it's Wal-Mart and a bunch of furniture rental stores.
