Who are Guice and King?

Seen their names mentioned as "handlers" for CR. Who are they? Where did they come from? How did they get involved?

They are the REC handlers that are pushing Cam to Bama, according to alot of posters on here. Look for them to have nice jobs in a few years..

Have they any Bama ties? What's their role, if any, with the WM program? I hate to see that "pipeline" burst. Although, I'm sure this is an aberration.

I think one got into some trouble for unsanctioned trips carrying Cam to Bama. Can't beat REC money, just deal with it. Its done.

King is Shawn King, ex-linebacker for LSU. Got kicked out of school at some point and finished up at ULM. Bounced around the NFL for a few years, but was addicted to drugs and kept getting suspended from the league. Apparently he harbors a grudge against LSU for being kicked out and that's why he's steering CR away.

There are some really well connected people in North Louisiana that have agendas against LSU, and some for good reasoning.
Little worrisome for the future of recruiting in the area.

Of course there are, I realize that not everyone associated with high school football in LA is an LSU homer. I was just addressing the people who insinuate that Cam was "bought and paid for", etc.

No they won't. They will be forgotten when they can't produce any more top players.
They are doing this for what they get right now.
This is a multi-million dollar a year business. It is "no holds barred" and all of the stops are being pulled out. Alabama/Nick Saban engages in total war on stuff like this. It is how it is.
LSU needs better recruiting work in North Louisiana just in the sense of having a stronger presence up there. Between La Tech, ULM, and Texas influence, the area has never been as tied to South Louisiana as we would like. But, if Saban can come in and lock up Mobile in one year after LSU had great success there for years, then LSU can have a greater influence in North Louisiana.
Overall though, it is what it is. I am not worried.

That's what I've been saying. Saban is a tactical master when it comes to stuff like this. He will identify every possible advantage and exploit it. People like Guice & King are disposable assets to Saban - kind of like Cam Sims will be in a year or two.

actually that King guy, is the brother of Shaun King...remember Shaun King Tulane's QB from 95-98 later got drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the 2nd round. Shaun King
