I know one thing, if I were the private schools, I'd give all the public schools, especially Winnsboro the middle finger and tell them we ain't playing y'all ever again and y'all ain't getting none of our gate money. Get your money somewhere else.

to be honest, if i was a head coach, i'd enter into a partnership with Curtis
we trade coaching techniques, strategies, etc.
you get the pick of our roster for the best studs, and we get the pick of your freshmen and JV to give them varsity experience

High School football in Louisiana would SUCK without the private schools. If you can't see that you're an idiot!

"Winnsboro" as you call it, and schools like it, would get along just fine without the privates. Your SE LA myopia is blinding you to the reality in the rest of the state.

How can you possibly make that assertion? All the kids that get recruited to go play at the private school powerhouses gonna leave the state?

LOL. Always find it hilarious when people assert that only private schools recruit.
But splitting the schools would only worsen the overall product.

There a few private schools up here that need the public schools so they can fill games, and not have to travel into Tejas to get 10 games. But, a lot of the publics won't play them in any sport.

Yeah because Franklin Parish's schedule the past 5 years has been loaded with private schools.

PROVE....that these POWERHOUSES recruit...please!
The sad thing about the whole private vs public school thing in Louisiana is that people you public school people can't be honest....
When a 2A school Calvary crushes a 5A school Southwood, or a 3A school Parkview Baptist steamrolls a 5A school Denham Springs or Central it goes beyond the "excuse" of recruiting that you people give. Ya'll never take into account that the private schools hire good coaches that have a system in place. They don't hire some P.E. coach to coach their football team.

I don't need to PROVE it. It's pretty much common knowledge. As to all the superior coaching at private schools, gimme a break. It boils down to one factor: time. Many coaches from the private schools mentioned don't even have to teach classes. It's quite a bit easier to put in a system when you've got that much time. On the other hand, most public school coaches teach 6 classes a day and have to run around like chickens with their heads cut off.
Oaron, I'm not naive enough to not acknowledge that it happens at some public schools, too. It's more difficult to get away with there, in most cases.

I can name 5 head football coaches at public schools that DO NOT TEACH a class - and have never won a state title.
