there has to be something I don't know. Or I just value DT's too much.

But I like 6'3" 290 lbs DT's from West Monroe.

anyone know the deal?

Maybe he's big but not any good?

He doesn't have any offers according to rivals and 247. And Signing Day is about a month away...

Great sophomore year, disappointing junior year, improved senior year, hopefully the light bulb came. All district this year along with the rest of WM's DL. Wish him the best.

Some of these guys, rather it be grades, trouble, or lack of development, don't get recruited straight out of high school. They then hit JUCO for 2 years, and some become prized recruits.

He may become one of them.

Tulane used to have University College and that was the way they got these types of kids in. About 2 years ago they basically turned what they call the School of Continuing Studies into what was University College. Before 2 years ago full time undergrads didnt take classes in SCS and now they offer 4-6 new majors that are "athletic friendly" and now full time undergrads (athletes) can now take those majors along with the rest of the student body. Getting into Tulane is not even close to as hard as it was for about 6-8 years after Katrina. Tulane can now get just about anyone it wants in.

Committing =/= signing =/= enrolling.

Maybe Tulane is signaling that they want to place him in JUCO, in order to have the inside track on signing him two years from now.

i hear you, but IMO, that doesn't really work for a school like Tulane... if this kid plays to his ability AND makes the grades, better programs will come calling.... and Tulane doesn't stand a chance if so... so why waste the time and energy placing him in a JUCO, when odds are you don't have a chance of reaping the benefit?

if that's the case, then i really don't understand Tulane trying for this kid...

they need to focus on the NOLA talent that doesn't end up at LSU, plus getting the drop offs from the table once LSU has eaten in other parts of the state, while going to TX, MS, and FL for pieces when needed... more than enough talent in this state to win in their conference....

He was double teamed all year and still dominated every game. I don't know what's wrong with him. But then again, what was wrong with Chuckie Hunter, Terrel Latham and James McFarland?

Maybe Oregon will take a look.

You realize that he goes to WM right? If they want the scraps from LSU, there aren't many schools you would rather have a pipeline with in the state. Never know, this could lead to several more WM Recruits in the future. That strategy seemed to work out well for TCU...

True, but I believe he can really contribute at LSU too.

Oh, I read again and comprehended a little better. Tulane getting LSU scraps. Gotcha.

I know Arledge has been disappointed in the efforts LSU has made in recruiting Nth LA. He says Lil Nickie makes a lot more contact. And that's a shame.

Napier comes through a ton and calls as well. Steele should be our contact now. He has ties to the area after last year and the Monroe 3 that went to Bama. I feel confident O and Steele will lock down the area.
