Did we "melt" when Dak spurned our late offer a few years ago? We will survive, but I really think this kid can be a star at LSU!

First off Narcaisse is and will not be anywhere near th QB Scott is!Scott has more pocket presence than any QB that I have seen this year plus he doesn't force things! He takes what's given to him, checks down and knows where everyone is on the field! This dude will be a starter if he commits! How tall is Russel Wilson again?

Sorry but I've gotta disagree with you on that one. Narcisse is a superior athlete, is faster, more elusive, and has a stronger arm. The only thing he needs to work on is accuracy. The feats he's already accomplished, with the middle school-caliber O-line they have at St. James, is amazing.

Of course, the Rant will melt, and the haters will ride in and jump of ledges. Remember, we have one of the best classes ever recruited with or without Scott. I do, however, hope we get him.

we need a qb that can play now..... is this staff going to let that happen??? NO..... they going down with harris.....so he either plays btr or we are a "good" team again in 2016 with tons of talent.

This class will be outstanding, but hope Scott is part of it. Need a QB recruit each year.

Seems like there wasn't as much complaining at this time last year when McMillan, also a 3-star as I recall, was the lone QB recruit.

Seeing how recruiting is often so fluid, I would not take either Scott or Narcisse (2017) for granted.

I haven't seen a single post of "if we don't sign a QB, this class is useless". On the contrary, pretty much everyone is really excited about this years recruits (with good reason). This class is going to be special.

Harris will start the next two years and play himself into the NFL. We'll follow that up with Narcisse and Dinkelmann battling it out for the next few years.

We definitely would NOT be alright under that scenario. Luckily we have another QB on the roster who will be a 3rd year guy by then, and who most on here seem to be dismissing.

The melting on a Qb is done. Scott or not, the melt was over Patterson, Franks, and Haskins. Scott may be exactly what the fan base needs though. A guy who has to prove himself before being anointed.

Scott is easily a better QB than Narcisse right now. If Scott was 6'0+ there wouldn't even be a discussion. Will that still be the case 5 years from now? Who knows because you are right Narcisse has the better physical skills, but physical attributes are often the least important factors in determining how good a QB is.

Give me a QB who's accurate, poised, intelligent any day over one who can run fast and has a really good arm.

That's not to knock Narcisse cause he could end up being an elite athlete, with a big arm, that's poised & accurate which is why everyone is after him, POTENTIAL. At this point though he's an elite athlete with a very good arm playing QB. You don't see him really reading defenses and going through progressions. Most of his passes are roll-outs, 1 read then tuck and run, or him buying time with his feet and throwing up jump balls to 6'3 & 6'2 WR's that will play college ball matched up on 5'7-5'8 white kids.

All this crap needs to stop. If the LSU staff offers a high school player the negative insulting comments should stop and if the poster continues there should be a ban.

Really, people most of you have no idea how good Scott or any other recruit will be. The star system and recruiting rankings only rate the potential of each recruit. The system works but kids fall through the cracks.

Some exceed their potential and grow
Some never live up to their potential
Some develop problems either social or academic
Some just are immature or lazy
Some transfer

To me once a recruit is offered he is a tiger and is to be treated with respect unless he signs with another team. Then he is Tiger BAIT
