Hopefully None..... we need to strengthen both lines...get RBs, WRs, more cover corners...... we can go one more year before we need to address punter/kicker.

This is a very strategic aspect of a game. I think if you ask Dave Aranda what he would like in a kicking game, he would say, one that gives my defense the best chance for success. That has not been the case with the kickers of late...

It doesn't look like they are going after anyone right now. We have a senior and several sophomores to handle the duties for the next couple of years.

But if you're a good sport and can take a joke, CLICK HERE to find your answer.

Why single out Dave Aranda here? lol

Does he have a hand in kicker recruiting that we don't know about?

Might not take a high profile K this year. Between Connor, Cameron and Jack we are solid. Next year look for us to pick up a high profile guy.

Saban stole a good one right there in Orgeron's backyard in ole Mandeville. Looks like O doesn't have the same veracity that Miles had when it comes to signing special teamers.

Any kicker that is a weapon from 70 yards I'm not letting go to Alabama, that was just stupid by Orgeron.

Dave Aranda just happens to be the defensive coach. The kicker is the guy that is supposed to pin the opposing offense as far away from the goal line as possible to prevent them from scoring. If the kicker does his job properly, it helps the defense in doing their job in giving their offense a shorter field to work with and increasing their odds of scoring more points than the opposing team.

Hope that helps you understand why Dave Aranda cares about the kicking game.

Kid is the real deal. Not 6' as reported but solid. Worked out with him a few weeks ago ..... huge thighs.... generates good leg speed.

I hear ya and totally believe you. It just makes me mad because I know that with a kid that is a weapon like that a drive could stall at the 40 and this kid can come in and nail one from that distance like it's nothing. And now he'll be nailing them against LSU for the next 4 years.

Kicking coach? Are you with a school or do you train kids? Asking for a friend with a son who is a punter.

Pretty sure his son is a high school kicker and was coached by Colby D, and he goes to a bunch of LSU kicking camps.

Please just let Culp kick off this year. Gamble mishits at least a quarter of them.

What was dumb about that? Some schools like UGA give 0 scholarships to kickers, many limit it to 1 on the roster. LSU currently has 2 plus a walk-on who is very good and only one graduates. Taking a kicker in 2018 or even 2019 is far from a must.

I would have offered him just to keep him out of Bama's hand, and it's not like they didn't have any scholarship's this year. lol Kickers schollies can be reclaimed if need be for a more important player, Miles has already shown that, but a kid like that is a special kicker, so when he's nailing them against LSU from far away don't say nothing.

Because a top notch kicker is important. Especially when they win a close game. If you have a chance to get one, you do it.
