What is Ed Orgeron doing now?

I saw where he was at the Elite camp with his son, what is he up to these days? Back living in Louisiana and he said in a article he didn't want to take a job to far from his family again he has a stepson already at LSU. I know we have a great D-Line coach in Brick and IMO the best recruiter in Frank Wilson but surely we could make a spot for someone like Ed. He was one of the best recruiters of the south he knows the lay of the land and I just love his attitude. I know his recruiting tactics were borderline but he is an amazing coach hands down. Is there any word on his future or anything?

A buddy of mine talked to him at his kid's tennis tourney and O basically told him he's enjoying not coaching. Who knows how long that will last, but the impression was that he wasn't in a hurry to find a job, and was all about chilling with the family.

He is still living in The Sanctuary in Mandeville.

Surprised he didn't stay at USC
They offered him a sweet gig when they removed the interim tag.
He would've been compensated well.
If he wants another head job maybe he would be willing to take a ULL head job if Hudspeth moves on. Maybe being on the sideline gives him the flexibility to pursue a head job once the seasons start winding down.
Even though the season starts next month, coaching hiring season is only about two months after that before feelers start going out and at this point in his career why not try being a head coach at a smaller school

O is gonna enjoy watching his son play football. I think he's will get an HC job in 2015 or be on LSUs staff in some capacity.

He's been on jordy and prince twice. Just doing the family thing but said he def wants to be coaching next year.
