Why are we not trying hard to flip G-Mac? I think he would be that passing-rushing DE when need. He is one of the best DEs to come out of LA in a long time. He could play multiple positions(DE,LB,and FB. Some kind of way we have to get this kid!

Does anybody know what's going on with this?

We are in a dead period and McDowell would have to initiate contact with LSU right now.

We will know more after Jan 15th.

No

Great physical talent when he wants to play...sometimes takes drives, quarters, even halves off.

Wrong, LSU can contact him, but we won't get him.

Staff likes him as a FB, but he wants to play defense. Ole Miss will let him. Can't really be mad at the guy, OM has used undersized DL pretty well and it's his career.

Someone said it best yesterday. LSU, like most programs, is rarely successful in flipping kids and should focus attention on those who are not yet committed.

Garrald McDowell will not be a part of LSU's class IMO.

I dont think these kids will be flipped. They all decided pretty late in the season. Most of these kids took their time and decided LSU wasnt the place they wanted to be. We should let the flip talk go - IMO

He and my son were roommates at the UA game. He's solid in his decision to go to Ole Miss. He will not change is mind. I wished him the best!

This is what I assumed. He has been upfront with the staff all along that OM led. I think he sticks it out.

People need to realize that we were not hard up for this kid. Good kid, but he doesn't fit our system at all. Wish him the best at OM.

I think this is also true. He's a tweener in some ways, especially his size. He's a stud though.
