We all badly want Fournette to come to LSU, but why do people assume he will?

Even Mike Detillier has a strong feeling that he comes to LSU. I know that he will probably be the featured back, etc. but is there anything LF has said or is everyone just thinking very positive?

It's all speculation. He hasn't said much of anything. Rumors that he already "silently" committed.

You're from west Monroe ... Your name is root canal ... Must be a bama booster, REC member and not a lsu fan

Why are we confident? Two words : Frank Wilson

Bama is absolutely loaded at RB. Not that fournette wouldn't be the most talented back there anyways, but like many have said... LSU's intense recruitment of Leonard started when he was in 8th grade.

Mindsets like this are why meltdowns happen

No such thing as a done deal in this day and age of recruiting

I think the easiest way to know that LF is all LSU is the fact that Bama has been so quiet about him

if they thought they had a chance, they would talk about it constantly, like with CRob and Hootie

His coming here has been set in stone since last year when the staff didn't recruit a single RB. I would be hard pressed to believe that an agreement wasn't reached before that decision was made. Now is it possible that a 18 yr old kid can change his mind? Sure. But it would be an epic spurning of a level that the LC saga could not even touch.

you aren't around these kids and not talking to the sources that are with them on visits, so it makes sense why you would feel that way.

the people that have sources all indicate LF is coming to LSU, shite even the bama fans think that.

Sure they are going to make last ditch efforts, but it probably won't matter.

Keep thinking that. I'm quite sure that I have spent more tuition money at LSU (BS and DDS) and probably time in Tiger Stadium than you.

I, like you, am discouraged by the guys from this area going to Alabama. One thing you have to realize about our area is that West Monroe is to Monroe like Prairieville is to Baton Rouge. We are across the river and a separate small town. Hootie and CSims are Monroe guys. CRob is also a Monroe guy who just transferred to West Monroe High last year from Ouachita.

WMHS has been pretty good over the years to LSU - Bradie James, Big Whit, Jordan Allen, Luke Sanders, Mingo, Will Blackwell.

Exactly. Until it's faxed in, nothing is a done deal.
Eta: For the record, I think he's coming to LSU. However, to say that it's a "done deal" is a bit of a stretch IMO.

Sarcasm meter must be broken, was more a jab at assuming posters than you.

My reason he chooses lsu is stated in my first post

Frank Wilson --- the best hire lsu has ever made, in any sport ... Even better than Johnny jones and skip Bertman

Even better than press... And I call my son Preston "press" after him

Frank Wilson is family to fournette. If you go and look where fournette has said he wants to go, family is a huge part of his decision. Les and Frank have done and said all the right things.

When you go look back on Franks career when he's done at lsu ... He would have gotten us more elite talent to stay in state than anyone in the history of the program

Just remember - chi dupre', speedy, Gerald, fournette, Kenny young, Donnie Alexander, clapp.... Those are his guys
