A few replies up, a poster said he heard someone call in to the Rivals radio network and ask about why so many Bama commits get huge bumps. The Rivals guy replied that it was because Nick Saban puts so many players in the NFL.

So basically, what I got out of that was that, if you commit to Bama, your personal athletic potential to play football professionally automatically increases. It doesn't matter if 10 Jack LBs are signed in one class and only 2 sniff the field. Those other 8 still have a better chance to play professionally than any LB in the country.

Last time I checked, Les puts his fair share of guys in the league as well. By that same logic, guys like Neal should get their fourth star just based off where he signs with.

At least Rivals admitted there is a Bama Bump.

So that issue can be put to rest.

I think they over rate players to get other schools to jump on them and let up recruiting some players bama wants. Then once some are committed they come in and rerank and drop them to make bama class look better. Who really cares if you are 1 or 8 in these rankings. They still have to be coached up when on campus. Hasnt Auburn had high ranking classes? Maybe theirs were bumped up too high on purpose to mske Chiz think he had great propects when they were just average.

Rivals really admitted to it?
I honestly thought it was our whiny fan base. This is quite interesting...

Then why do Lsu prospects go down. Lsu has more NFL roster talent than any other sec school. frick rivals.

That was the second half of my post. By that logic, guys like Neal and Dodd who are three stars should at least get a bump to a fourth star for coming to a program that puts them in a better position to play in the NFL.

Have they seen this kid's film? Legit 6'2" cover corner with track speed, lockdown potential, and pissed off disposition to boot.

Especially his most recent film. Someone posted it on here a week or so ago. It was absolutely filthy.

His relatively low rating is a mystery to me. He's got all of what you posted plus great skills as a kick/punt returner. My favorite player in this class.

Has anyone ready the chat that they do? I asked about why no love for Lewis Neal. Said he's a tweener, not so good in space, and not sec sized.
