Why not give that 3rd wr spot to another big name LB?

And if we are gonna get all these other big name dbs I don't see how we could keep chatman and lewis. Especially if we get anderson.

A number 1 class with 10 4 and 5 star dbs is not a great class imo. We need more depth on the line.

I just don't see us taking that many DBs. I see that looks like where we are going, but I don't see that happening. Especially when it comes down to final spots when #s get tight.

I know Bama is recruiting Davis and Wilson, but I think they already have 2-3 ILBs already committed and the recent commit will be a LB too

Means nothing. Saban will process them if he needs to.

What about Drake Davis for the final WR? Has that ship sailed for good?

It means something when you look at our depth chart compared to theirs.

Come to LSU and could be a FR starter. Go there and just be a # and you might start as a JR.

Means something to me and I am sure it means something to recruits. Plus you playing at LSU - known for our defense.

I wonder if drake davis will qualify. He will be at his 3rd or 4th high school when he goes to img academy this fall. Getting all of those credits cleared by the ncaa will be hell

I didnt mean it like that. Surely our depth chart is more appealing. Agree completely with you there. I just meant if the guy wants Bama, the guys committed wont stop them if saban just snaps his fingers and the commits lose their spot for the higher ranked guy.

Haha, that's right up our alley. He could be our Clearinghouse problem for 2016! You know we will have one that keeps someone off the field.

Conservative estimate.

Zachary - twice
Dunham
Stanislaus
Fork Union
IMG

There may have been another one in there somewhere.

Well yes, of course. He does this once they are signed and enrolled!

Someone might not be scared of competition, but their LB recruiting this year as well as the last few is just a ton of bodies - just too many people.

So I believe we have everything to offer LBs - great D around them, early playing time, and a D they can call their own. You have Steele that these guys respect.

We aren't done on the line, and we are recruiting impact players on the both lines, not just depth.

THIS is just the type of recruiting threads needed on this board. well done.

I have been looking for a position-by-position break down and where we stand. we can all see the commit boards posted on many sites, but the information you provided is what is needed at this time (at least for me).

THANKS!

Saban will never be caught without dominant offensive and defensive lines unless he has a rash of injuries and/or busts.

Or if he's planning on leaving his current position like LSU. His online recruiting trailed off. That's why you end up with a guy like Lyle hitt starting.

Chattman will be a hybrid LB/S.

I think we need a JUCO ILB, if we don't pick up a guy like Ben Davis or Dontavious Jackson.

LBs - Divinity, McCulloch, Davis/Jackson/JUCO

OL - I really like Stephon Taylor as an OT prospect

WR - we can't let Drake Davis get away, way too much potential. If we don't get him, then we should use the spot for something other than a WR.

DL - maybe we can convince Ed Oliver back into the fold as a DE.

RB - White (would like him at MLB also)

The potential $ at DE + LSU draft history + Ed O might just do that. I think it would take all three (easy enough, they do come together by definition) to change his mind because of the personal draw.

Damn. I wish he had the same control over his brain that he has over his muscles.

But how do you turn that talent down?

Depends on the recruit, by that logic no recruit would come here to sit behind our stud DBs and RBs...

No I never said or even implied that recruits would view it fully in that mindset - 100%. I said it means something and is important, not the only consideration.
