UPCHURCH IS TO BE A TIGHT END FOR SURE ?!?!?!?!

Tony Upchurch, WR, 6-2, 225, Dawson, Pearland, Texas, LSU-commitment

"The first couple of offensive drives were really good. I liked the way they threw to the tight end. They didn't throw much (to the TE after the first couple drives), I'm sure they just didn't want to give too much away. But, other than that, they did great."

The way he is built he would probably play a lot more if he was a TE.

This kid is gonna be able to play numerous offensive positions. WR, TE, FB & HB. Versatility!! I have a feeling that he's gonna blow up in his senior year. He's the truth.

Actually he is our backup at Running Back. His size, speed, quickness, strength, etc... Kinda like a Marcus Lattimore if you have seen his video on ESPN.com. He will definitely play WR, even at his size, as long as we get Fournette, if not he can play RB.

Though Kragthorpe is an administrative asst at LSU, now, how much input does he have with Cameron?

If he does, Upchurch can still be that big, split end that everyone was talking about when Krags came here. (Harry Douglas)

Either way, it's going to be a long recruiting season of finding out, just where, this talent will be. It's a good problem to have, since we have so many good recieving TE's on the team.

Plus, if Josh McNeil actually gets out of JUCO in time for the 2015 class, then we may be really selective with our TEs and B. Mouton may have to work hard for an offer.
