We've completed less than 3 passes to wideouts in the entire first half. Let' not play that game. Hope to hell he becomes a tiger as he is a dynamic talent, but if not he'll be tigerbait.

I'd imagine 99% of offensive athletes wouldn't like getting their numbers but losing by 50. Also TT will be home come bowl season.

And you would be wrong. College is just a stepping stone to the NFL. These guys want to go to a place where they can produce to help get them there. Contrary to popular belief, NFL teams don't give a shite about a great college WR's team's W/L record

I have not seen Johnson play. I did watch the Cedar Hill game with Lodge playing against DeSoto. Tell you what...sight unseen for everyone else, I would take Lodge as my #1 WRer target. He IS that good! Plus, he returns punts too...don't know how many other WRers do that plus do they return punts as well as Lodge.

Lodge has speed, size, vertical leeping ability, yards after catch, etc. Like I said, Johnson I'm sure is great, but Lodge is #1 WRer target for me.

Because the coach who is recruiting him will more likely than not be gone/fired before when he gets there.

He just got an extension

Yeah but I fully expect Harris to take the QB position from Jennings next year because he will know our system and thats the only thing holding him back. He has the arm, vision, better decision maker, etc..

Nothing against Jennings but Harris is just better talent.

They obviously don't care about college production either. James Wright is doing just fine with his handful of catches he had in his college career. Maybe playing in a pro system with limited opportunities is more valuable than playing in a system that they will never see in the NFL and getting the ball every play.

LSU has more receivers in the NFL than Texas Tech, Texas A&M, and Oklahoma St combined.

I would say the team you come from outweighs raw state when it comes to the NFL

If true, it doesn't mean anything to any one individual player. What it shows is that you can get to the NFL from any system. Two of the top 3 or 4 WR in the NFL are from Ga Tech. And while winning and getting to the NFL are important, it is a game and supposed to be fun for the players, if you are WR why wouldn't you be excited about a system that throws the ball 50 times a game? I certainly hope we get this kid, but WR and DB are 2 positions we should never worry about at LSU, especially since his other top options are all teams outside the SEC.

If that's the case, then why not choose the school that has the most WRs in the NFL?

LSU.

Because you don't run the entire route tree like you do at LSU...and you don't learn pro concepts like you do at LSU.

Wait, what?

james wright got drafted because of how well he played on special teams, not because he caught 25 passes in 4 years in a pro style offense

So? They can and do teach stuff in the NFL, plus you should read my whole comment That's a great selling point for LSU , but it is not an either or proposition. Plenty of guys have gone in the first round from various "spread" or "air raid" or other non conventional offenses. You are deluding yourself if you think a kid is hurting his chances of going to the NFL by picking a team other than yours. If he is talented and works hard he can get to the NFL from any system.

The question is has he actually been to Lubbock Texas? I know 3 people that spent significant time there and no one had anything positive to say about it.

But they do give a shite about how that WR performed on the biggest stage against elite DB's. Dont act like a WR that is elite in the SEC is equal to a WR that is elite in the Big XII. I thought that would have been obvious.

I spent 11 months in Lubbock working on a project.

I spent 10 months in Venice, LA working on a different project.

I would rather be in Venice, LA and it had nothing to do with the projects.
