I would think Coach O and staff are highly pissed off @ Tulane for this.

Hard to justify being pissed when LSU was offered first. IMO LSU should've accepted merely to keep any other school from joining up with Tulane.

We ARE the biggest presence in New Orleans.

I thought the NCAA was killing satellite camps?

I believe it's next year that there will be a mileage distance on where you can hold Camps.

The Tulane-Michigan connection goes way back to Joe Curtis who was a Michigan grad and was looking to play Michigan in 1908.

Joe also warned Michigan not to play LSU when LSU got word Michigan may come down to play Tulane and ask for a game at the end of the 1908 season.

The satellite camps have to end.

We are not keeping Michigan out of Louisiana; particularly the New Orleans area...Now that New Orleans native Warde Manual is the AD...Warde will not only endorse but encourage Coach Khaki Pants to pouch the area

Yeah like many kids from down south are going to want to play in Michigan, one of the worst winter states in the country.

Same for kids up north who don't want to play in our hot and humid summers.

UM is starting to get kids to head up north. I remember hearing this about Urban when he took the OSU job, and he's now killing it. If UM keeps improving, you'll see them poach several players from the south.

From LSU's 24/7 board:
quote:

You can only have 10 days total of camps under the new NCAA rules and all of LSU's will be on their campus. They will no longer have the July camp instead all camps will be in June.

They did to an extent. The camps have to be on a campus, regardless of whose campus it is. Michigan can co-host a camp at Tulane, they just can't single host a camp at the superdome or something like that.
