weight before asking his mother, Casondra, for permission to drive the family car through the parking lot toward the football practice field.

“I was 6-7 last year, but I grew two more inches this summer and put on 10 pounds,” Green said. “I am 6-9 now.”

Consider this for perspective — former Southern University and NFL star Harold Carmichael is 6-8 and is listed as the tallest wide receiver in NFL and college football history.

The Advocate had an article on this this morning:

Is East Feliciana's 6-foot-9 Trey'Dez Green the next big thing? The Power 5 offers say yes.

I don’t expect him to play football in college, but I could be wrong.

The taller he gets the more likely he is a straight up BB player... has good offers in both.

I see he is the only in-state 5 star on 24/7 but I don’t see any basketball rankings for him.

Is he just that much better at football? If he’s comparably good at basketball and the services just haven’t evaluated him properly, I can certainly see him going the basketball route with that size and athletic skill.

Can you imagine LSU with Green and Harbor on the field?

Damn you basketball gods, damn you.

Gotta flip the 2023 TE committed to TCU.

If he chooses football, he could be a college version of prime Jimmy Graham.

That would be one of the scariest offenses when you add the WRs, RBs and QBs that we have on this team. Imagine those two at the TE spot with the OL and power run game this team will have.

Oh and someone named Walker Howard to throw them the ball. Ran with come competency, that offense would literally be impossible for college defenses to stop. You could line Harbor up all over in the offense to further confuse the defense and the coaches on that defense. They wouldn’t know what to call to stop what was coming.

Could put him in the back field, in wildcat formation, swing him out, have him move inside, outside, come around on a reverse and let him toss it to the QB for a wide open pass to one of our NFL WRs or TEs. With an OL that is 6’7-6’6 315-325 across the board. That’s what we have coming to LSU, no matter if either play here. We’ll find those players to play the part we need and want. I can’t wait to see it all put together! It’s going to be fun to watch.

Honestly, that’s all you can really ask for is a coach that fields a team that plays hard, smart, doesn’t kill itself, plays efficiently on offense, defense and ST. Win or lose, I’ll take a coach that can put this product on the field every time. But if the HC does put this type of product on the field at LSU, it should result in championships. That’s why he came here. He could do that at all these other schools and it wins games but it doesn’t win championships and at LSU, that’s the difference.

With feet that good and 245 he could add weight and be a great left tackle. And make millions more than a TE at the next level.

Need leverage to play the line. At 6’9+ he’s not getting under anyones pads.

Sounds like basketball was his first love and he's headed toward out growing football.

6'9'' is not big for college basketball but is big for a college receiver

it is literally impossible to recruit CBs and Ss that could handle both at same time if they get off the line.
