Barbe and lake charles are a very pro-LSU area. If the kid is smart and serious about football, he will be a tiger.

He's all P&G. You can book it!
Watch out for Kevin Spears, the real sleeper this year?

Here's the bottom line with Trey as I see it:

Everything points to LSU EXCEPT for the fact that Sumlin has a track record throwing the ball going back to UH, the offense values versatile receivers and they are going to have a stud QB to throw to him, whether it's Manziel or the guys they start landing out of Texas because of their reputation and JFF. It does help LSU that Kingsbury left for TT.

And believe me, Trey's not worried about how many receivers A&M recruited. When you're a kid who catches 100 balls for 2,000 yards and all those TDs, you think you're going to be better than the competition. That's not an issue with Trey and it's an overrated issue with a lot of top players.

It comes down to this: If LSU shows any signs of improving its passing game, of having consistency on offense and just being better in general, I think it's game over, Trey comes to LSU. If there isn't progress, then A&M would be in play, as would some other schools. I'm sure Texas Tech will offer. Clemson has offered, a bunch of others.

If LSU does hire Cameron, we might see if that's a big enough draw to get Trey to commit before the season.

EXCEPT for the fact that Quinn won't start right away and might even be redshirted, so best case scenario he gets 1 year as a top 3 receiver that gets plenty of targets with Manziel and would still have his true junior and senior season to play. I lean towards Quinn barely getting to exhaust Manziel's throwing/Sumlin's system to benefit his statistics for the time he and Manziel are both eligible together.

Here's some quotes from trey quinn about LSU for this idiot that started this tread.

quote:

The thing I picked up from what they said was 'We put our best athletes on kickoffs and punt returns. For example, they used Jarvis Landry and he was an absolute stud on the kickoff team. They did have Rueben Randle that year. If it takes playing behind a possible first-round draft pick, a guy who is going to go to the NFL and learning under him, I'm all down for that.

quote:

Everybody wants to be somewhere they are comfortable," Quinn said. "What makes places comfortable is family. As you build relationships with recruits, the more you feel like a brotherhood and the more that feels like home. Yeah, that plays a big role.

quote:

But even when you run that much, you have Rueben Randle going second round. If he would have waited one more year, he would have gone first round. They do produce a lot of NFL talent and they do go out there compete every Saturday.

quote:

I want to wait until I'm 100 percent. I'd like for that time to be some time like August before school starts. My father and I have discussed that. It would take a load off me so I don't have to worry so much about where I'm going to go to college.

he will be committed to LSU in a couple weeks calm down

Why would anyone redshirt him? At either school he will get PT right away.

@fjohns1 I don't follow recruiting all day every day, nor do I know Quinn or his family. I started the thread because I've seen predictions of him going to A&M. I wanted to know if there was something that started this.

Possibly down the road. Did you guys see how thin that kid is in his picture? He's Kenny Bell skinny. He'll get broken in half on the field right now. He def. needs a RS year to bulk up.

Sorry then but he's all LSU and it won't be long before it's official. Deep down he might want to go play in a & m offense but who doesn't. Seriously though he's like 99.8 percent lsu.

Beyond that, the selling of depth chart is beneath LSU. Elite kids like Quinn don't care and you should know this.

The selling point is a better program that can compete for NC's year in and year out

State School

And a better baseball program

Don't kid yourself

I do not claim to know what the other posters know. I do know that when making decisions in life, we have all made them with our hearts at times, as well as with our minds. I think his heart says that he has a love affair with his community and with the state of Louisiana. I also think it would be wise for him to consider how his God given talents will be used, as it is possible he will be able to help somebody's offense and passing game in particular.

Donnie Avery was the first pick of the 2nd round by the Rams circa 2008/9. How is that remotely relevant? Houston in CUSA does not attract the level of talent that Texas A&M or LSU can. All indications are that TQ will sign with LSU, but he can get to the NFL from either school.

you ever heard of a system player?? That's what he will be if he goes to a & m and it will hurt his draft status. Is that relevant enough for you?
